Wow, thanks for this one Allen.
The nose on this beer is amazing. Huge barrel character and some smoke. Hints of vanilla and maybe a whisp of oak (haha). The taste is un freaking real, marshmallow and vanilla the best barrel attributes possible a little smoke like the nose and a well blended bourbon. Jesus Christo this beer is epic and I wish I could get more of it!

On bottle. Pitch black with dark brown head which lingers. Fantastic sweet, licorice, coffee, vanilla aroma. Great bourbon feeling lot of sweet lightly roasted tastes. A great beer.

Rate #2000, big thanks to Rasmus for this bottle! Pour into snifter is dark and thick oily black with dark tan, brown head, one of the darkest I’ve seen to date. Head is a bit thin and dissipates quickly but is expected with a 12% brew, alcohol legs stick around pretty well. Aroma has notes of big toffee, molasses, some anise, hints of fig, lots of dark chocolate, coffee notes as well. Taste is big notes of vanilla, dark fruit, toffee, lots of bourbon, but not overly boozy somehow, with notes of dark chocolate, toffee, some burnt toast and roasted malt, hints of smoke fill in the cracks but really do well to balance, finishes big, bitter, dry. So many layers, and tastes just great. Fantastic brew.

Fantastic taste and smell of roasted malt, chocolate, dried fruits and liquorice. Together with a fantasticly light mouthfeel, very close to chocolate mousse, this makes a winner.
4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 Maria (9572) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 8, 2011
It’s pitch-black with a very dark-brown, huge, creamy and lasting head. The aroma has notes of bourbon, roasted malt, wood, chocolate, licorice and vanilla. The sweet flavour has notes of roasted malt, bourbon, dark chocolate, licorice, dark fruits. It’s vinous, complex and incredibly nice.

Bottle. A complete beer with a head that probably is the darkest (or one of) heads, I’ve ever seen! The aroma is not very complex, however very lovely and balanced. It is dominated by vanilla, coffee and bourbon notes, some alcohol and dark chocolate too. The taste is sweet, turns dry and bitter but finishes with thick layer of sugar on the tongue. It is full-bodied with a flavour of very dark and bitter chocolate, alcohol, plums and coffee. Lovely!
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 lassem (650) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 8, 2011
My rating nr. 600 goes out to this materdont of a beer. A barreld aged version of an allready extraordinary good beer. So pouring the George senior you get it as black as they come crowned with a dark brown foamy head that stays. Its a black beauty. The nose is lovely roasetd malts with a sweet coffee and chocolate touch along with the vanilla sweetness from the bourbon barrels. Swing it and the aroma blasts double leaving heavy laces on the side of the glass. The mouthfeel is huge and creamy without beeing sickening. Its warming your throat long after the sip. The taste is sweet roasted topped with vanilla and coffee - perfectly balanced - it leads out to a more hoppy and bitter finish. The alcohol bites your lipps for a long time..and thats in a pleasant way. Its a beer to remember. A damn good beer.

Black. Really thick and dark. Great brown head. Wonderful aromas of wood, vanilla, chocolate. Smooth. Tastes like wood, chocolate, smoke, red wine, fruits... Doesn’t stop evolving in your mouth. Dry, but some sweet fruits at some point. Long and delighting aftertaste. I could drink this one everyday.

Bottle, 12.12%. Good vanilla aroma, some fresh whiskey notes. Black colour, big stable dark brown head. Very bourbon barrelled - quite sweet with a distinct vanilla and whiskey flavour. Extremely flavourful and also extremely good.
