Bottle @ beer temple. Pitch black pour, dark brown head. Aroma is roasty, tobacco, alcohol, creamy, bread, yeast, ash, pipe tobacco and spices. Flavor is smooth creamy black roasted ashy goodness. Amazing balance, huge body, extremely full. Powerful and great brew.

330ml bottle (thanks martjoobolut). Pitch black color. Small size, brown head, stays. Sweet, malty, roast, dark chocolate in aroma. Intense roast, faint hops, oak acorns in taste. Roast is bit rough. Alcohol stays down. Nice one!

Poured deep dark brown with minimal head. Aroma of the calvados dominates, roast malt, dark fruit. Full body, flavour as the aroma, this isn’t as good as the base beer by any measure.

330ml bottle - thanks martjoobolut
Very pleasant roasty aroma, less aroma than the brian we had earlier, some celery salt. Also has a salty palate, otherwise full and burnt, just a touch astringent. Getting a bit of the alcohol burn fromi it. Prefer the heavier sweeter one. This has too much salty bite.

Dark brown, small beige head. Nose is roast, bread, alcohol, chocolate, mild calvados. Favor is bready-roasty, sweetness, ash notes, hoppy-calvadosy finish. Lots of lingering booze, soy sauce. Interesting stuff.

250ml bottle. Black with a very short brown head. Aroma brings some interesting touches from the barrel. Apple strudel, golden syrup and blackberry are in there. Taste is oily, thick and rich, which is just how I’d like an imperial stout to be, but it feels lacking compared to the aroma. It’s a bit too generic and even in this small bottle format is pretty tough to work through.

Piana: brązowa, natychmiast ginie;
Aromat: cierpki winny, czekoladowy, delikatnie skórki orzecha włoskiego, tostowy, po zabełtaniu bardziej wychodzi orzech i estry; ogrzane oddaje alkohol
Smak: słonawe, czekolada niezbyt gorzka, lekko wiśnia;
Odczucie: oleiste, gorzkawe od ciemnego słodu i alkoholu, lekko zalegająca z tyłu języka goryczka, alkohol nie atakuje, ale rozgrzewa przełyk;
Ogólnie: to mój pierwszy RIS i na pewno nie ostatni, jeśli będę pił choć w części tak smaczne. :)

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2014 33cl bottle served in snifter. Pours black - pitch black. I have never seen such an oily imperial stout as this. It only lost a point in the appearance due to the lovely dark brown head almost immediately dissipating. Aroma is hugely powerful. Malts, alcohol, vanilla, oak, treacle and many complex flavours all vying for superiority in this drink. Absolutely massive in every sense of the word with a good alcohol kick. Possibly the creamiest textured beer I have ever tried with such a generous mouthfeel without feeling cloying at all. A true masterpiece just hard to justify the cost when others are so good and are at a lower price point. Still, as a treat on a special occasion you cannot go wrong
