Bottle @ beer temple. Pitch black pour, dark brown head. Aroma is roasty, tobacco, alcohol, creamy, bread, yeast, ash, pipe tobacco and spices. Flavor is smooth creamy black roasted ashy goodness. Amazing balance, huge body, extremely full. Powerful and great brew.

Willrunforbeer hooking me up with the variants! 250 ml bottle. Much love here buddy! The viscosity is just as oily as the base. I’m not an expert on Apple brandy but I just got some schooling. Aroma is mild Cognac with a weak sweetness. Some barrel.

The body feels fuller then the base with a nice barrel character, subtle. The Brandy is rather smooth with very subtle Apple. Very low carbonation level with a nice base of roasted malt. Kind of like the base just a bit more than this.

250mL bottle from trade. Don’t remember who, but thanks! Pours nearly black with a beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate, vanilla, raisin. Smells really good! Taste is smooth, dark chocolate, vanilla oak, raisin, apple peel. Smooth! Moderate coffee bitterness in the finish.

330 ml bottle from Ammersin 5, Vienna.
Pitch black body, with a tiny, very dark, coffee colored head.
Aroma of coffee, sweet dark chocolate, bitter cocoa, liquorice, tobacco, some barrel notes, booze.
Delicious, rich taste of melted dark chocolate, cocoa powder, coffee, tobacco, liquorice, booze, some dark fruits.
Thick, oily mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes alcoholic, roasty-bitter, wooden, quite dry, a bit smoked.

Very tasty! Alcohol is noticeable, but still drinks smooth for the ABV, with a wonderful, rich, complex taste. Overall not my favourite Imperial Stout by Mikkeller (there are just too much outstanding ones!), but delicious nonetheless.

DesertDevil (628) - Arizona, USA - MAR 29, 2015
Bottle courtesy of shadbow. Pungent and heavy nose of teriyaki sauce, peaty Scotch, smooth phenols and a wet-soil finish. Pours flat obsidian with ruby traces. The taste is quite smoky and roasty, with heavy soy sauce, thick chewy malt, faint balsamic vinegar, and very light Calvados Scotch flavor. Thick body. Solid, but not spectacular.

Nip sized bottle. Poured an oily black color with brown edges and a smaller sized tan head. Chocolate, roasty, wood, lots of smokiness, and a trace of brandy. Grew on me as it opened up.

Swaroga (1663) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAR 18, 2015
This one has the most rounded flavor and intensive wood notes among the ones I tried from Goerge! serie. The sweetness is less cloying and the beer got more dry which is just what it needed. Thick and oily mouthfeel. Aroma is black chocolate, wood, alcohol, dried fruits and raisin. Good stuff. Flavor is the same. Warming alcohol has a good kick from the Calvados barrels. A big joy to sip it.

Bottle during RBWG. Pours black with small tan head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is roasted malt and dark chocolate. Medium mouth with nice char and roast, dark chocolate, vanilla, wood, very good.
