Draft. A black beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, roasted malt, soy sauce, and chocolate, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

From tap at MikkellerBar. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is dense dark malty and fruity cognac. Light alcohol presence and dark roasted malty, chocolate and coffee. Thick dense dark malty, chocolate, light liqourice and sold bitter. Elegant cognac notes, light alcohol and dark malty. Dense chocolate and cognac finish. Dark malty, yet light fruity and mld sweet into the far finish.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Very black with beige head. Aroma of chocolate, licorice and cognac. Sweet and thick with full body. Chocolate sauce and treacle dominates. Warming and heavy withsticky sweetness. Some nice flavours, but not really enough to balance up the syrupy heaviness.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Pitch black coloured with a small brown head. Sweet and roasted aroma of caramel, dried fruits and dark chocolate. Sweet and roasted flavour of dark chocolate, dried fruits and cognac. Roasted finish.

Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a black color with a very dark brown head. Has a roasted malty chocolate licorice and woody cognac aroma. Thick roasted malty chocolate and woody cognac flavor with hints of coffee. Has a roasted malty coffee and chocolate woody cognac finish.

Sample @ CBC. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, wood, coffee, roast malt and hops. Lovely.

Draught at MikkellerBAR. Pitch black - white head. Chocolate. Ok bitterness. Oiley texture. Fruity. High malty. Minerals. Sweetness. Some dried fruits. Alcoholic notes. Soya. Licorice. Super smooth body. Sharp burned. Lots of bitter dark chocolate. Some booze in the finish. Fantastic - Very close to a perfect beer.

25cl bottle, thanks GT2. Headless black body. Aroma is moderately sweet, cognac, bittersweet chocolate, some roast. Taste is sweet, bittersweet chocolate, cognac, roast. Sticky full body, no carbonation.

Bottle, bought @ Ølbutikken, Cph. Pours deep black with a small, creamy, brown head. Aroma has lovely roasted malts, soft viniousness, nuts, Nutella, oak, cognac. Low carbonation, extremely creamy and fat mouthfeel. Flavour is magnificently balanced, oak, roasted, cocoa, dark chocolate. Soft astringency, soft nutty. Elegant bitter finish with coffee, oak and nuts.
