Thick dark brown, a wee bit more of a tan fizz head, viscouser lacing.Spicy apple nose, mulled and malty. Thick lit, creamy blanched barrel and an oddly clean liquorice throughout. Similar soft roast, little bit more sweetness here but bit less balanced roastynessage.

Bottle, Mikkeller Bottle Shop, Flu Jab Tasting

Bottle shared in London - thanks, again, to Ken. Pours black and oily with a moderate, brown foam cap. There’s a good bit of burnt wood on the nose, dark chocolate, strong roast, dark fruits. Medium to big sweet flavor, nice roast, a good bit of booze, oily chocolate, bitter burnt wood, earth. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with burnt sugars, black raspberry, cocoa, heavy roast, char. Good stuff.

Bottle thanks to Kenny.it pours opaque black with minimal tan head. It pours jet black with a small tan head. The nose is rich, roasty, cocoa, earthy, stinking alcohol, chocolate, pepper, burnt cake, candied apple and tar. The taste is rich, tarry, roasted malt, charred wood, salted caramel, booooze, pepper and chocolate cake with a roasty, warming finish. Full body, fine carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Pretty hot stuff. The weakest of the three imo.

Pours pitch black with a dark brown head. Aroma of thick roasted malts, chocolate, liquorice, sweet tobacco, wood and dark caramel. Taste is just. okay I have to say THICK AS FU.... wtf.. This is almost not fluid. Thick as a smoothie - guess we got the bottom of the tank. Lots of roasted malts, chocolate, sweet tobacco, dark caramel, wood, weak bitter coffee and a light savory end.

Vestergaard (431) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - NOV 27, 2014
Bottle, 33cl. Pours a thick, pitch black with a nice, frothy, dark brown, thick head. Aroma has very roasty malts, thick, dark chocolate, bitter and almost sourish fruit notes. Despite that a certain sweetness, slight salt. We split this bottle in 3, and the two other glasses were MUCH more sticky in the body than this one. Like... Fucking sticky and thick and has a mouth feel literally like caramel.. What the fuck? Anyways.. Taste is fairly bitter from both roast, dark chocolate and coffee, tobacco, and also the signature calvados fruity bitterness and fruity tartness. Extremely full bodied with a low carbonation. Some tar coal or heavily roasted malts were in the bottom of this beer.
