4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Courtesy hopscotch. Pours pitch black with a huge oil slick of a body. Massive roasted malt nose with some bitter chocolate and anise. Huge massive oily body but a little to bitter roasty for my taste. Not a bad beer by any means but not my favorite imperial stout.

massive brwon black colour with full bodied head (beige). Compared to other imperial stouts, this one has a rather fresh nose - green pepper?

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Pours black as black with a dark drity brown head. Big aromas of roasted malt, licorice, smoke and a little treacle. Big bold and really nicely balanced. Flavours are likewise big and bitter thanks to the roasted malt, dark bitter chocolate and a decent alcohol burn. Mouthfeel is thick and chewy. Brilliant beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
250ml bottle. Black like tar with a dirty, stable grey-brown collar and wisps of lace. Chocolate ice cream with fudge bits aroma...sprinkled with charcoal, soy sauce and mint/orange Aero mousse. Rich, burnt loaf/Twiglet flavour dunked in liquorice and bitter chocolate. Too much liquorice, actually. Some hints of burnt flowers and orange mingled with the carbon- hops? Has a morning-after bonfire feel to it burnt almost beyond recognition. Overworked central heating in an old country house, well-polished oak banisters burnt to the ground. Deep, savoury black beer with the mouthfeel of a Friij milkshake. I like it.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to Scott! Poured an oily thick black with a dark wooden brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a relatively strong roasted malt note joined by licorice, alcohol and extremely dark chocolate. Flavor began with strong roasted malts, but had a growing dark chocolate note as well as a hint of licorice. There was a bit of an alcohol bite in the finish. The beer was quite thick on the tongue.

Black and thick. Has a light brown head, mostly lasting. Dark aroma, coffee, milk chocolate, laqurice, dark malts. Has a sweet flavor. More dark aromas reveals, laqurice, coffee. Heavy texture, syrupy, a bit sticky, nice, thick. Flat texture.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
My favourite beer so far. This beer has everything. The aroma is just beautiful and the taste meets the expectations of the aroma. Well balanced and a perfect desert after a traditional Norwegian meal (Kompe, salty meat and meaty home made sausseges)
