21.12.2014. Pitch black beer with dark brown head. Aroma of burnt malts, coffee. Taste is very intense and palate thick and oily. Burnt malts, ash, tobacco, sour bitterness, bitter chocolate, coffee. This is super heavy stuff. Warming as well.

Ludicrously thick and dark. Treacly, witha hint of buttery honey. Burnt, treacle, black, intense, almost salty. Superb.

Aroma of sweet cocoa and hints of vanilla. Taste is espresso, short with half a sugar. Dark, oily color with viscous mouthfeel. Great for sipping, but one is plenty.

Barwa czarna, piana obfita beżowa. W aromacie wyczuwalna śliwka, paloność i czekolada - wyczuwalny alkohol. Smak: śliwka, palność, czekolada i słona wędzoność (?!). Piwo niezaprzeczalnie ciekawe w smaku, ale za ciężkie i zbyt "słone".

Swaroga (1630) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAR 17, 2015
A very solid Imperial Stout. Strong coffee, cacao and tabaco aromas. Flavor is going the same way : over sweet coffee with cacao notes. The tabaco and roasted notes calm a bit the sweetness but still the beer is cloying. Good thing the alcohol is warming and bitter enough to manage all that syrupy feeling. Still it is very delicious and rich. A RIS I would recommend as a must-try.

Oily jetblack pour, thin brown film and lacing ring on top. Great blackness. Sweet and slightly roasted, licorice, surypu medicine, cocoa and chocolate, coffee. Great aroma also. Sweet and bitter, full bodied and round, long roasted To almost burnt and sweet finish, thick stuff. Damn good, like liquid night, mysterious. Roasting is just maybe a tiny bit too intense and stays really long in finish. Still..excellent 😀

Haven’t found anything exciting about this one. Got 2 bottles of it, both almost without foam and gas inside. Not sure it this one is supposed to be almost not saturated or it was somehow bad. Quite good taste and aroma though.

330 ml bottle from The Party Source, purchased last year. Pours an opaque near-black color with a quick cascading brown head that eventually settles into a ring and leaves a little film behind. Notes of roasted malts, burnt sugar, coffee, cocoa, tobacco, earth, and baker’s chocolate. Medium-bodied, with low to moderate carbonation and a rich, roasty, bitter mouthfeel. I didn’t find the flavor to be the most compelling for the style, but the nose is really rich and nice.

330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours thick black with minimal tan head. Big earthy, grainy malts in the taste.. complex oily cocoa & chest-warming strength. Ace.

Barwa: czarna, nieprzejrzysta.
Piana: obfita, ciemnobeżowa, drobnopęcherzykowa, trwała.
Zapach: średnio intensywny, głównie aromaty czekolady i kakao. Kojarzący się z pralinami czekoladowymi. Wyczuwalny agresywny alkohol.
