Draught. Pitch black colour. Pleasant aroma of well roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and dark fruits. Good mouthfeel indeed. Lots of roasted malt in the mooderate sweet flavour along with chocolate and coffee, dark fruits, a pleasant bitternes and some alcohol. Yum indeed!

Delicious rich stout with nuances of coffee, chocolate, caramel and plum. Low carbonation. The beer appears oiled. A delicious beer with great taste.

About 50ml draught at Mikkellers exhibition stand, CBF ’10. The body is dark as the devil with a fawn-coloured, thin head leaving fragile lacework on my festival glass. Welcoming smell of dark fruits, dark berries and roasted malts. Grainy chocolate in flavour nicely blended with dark fruits, bitter coffee and a noticeable alcoholic tingle. Woody dryness to a bittersweet ending. Full bodied. Another highlight during the festival in Copenhagen, 08.05.2010.

Bottle.
Very little carbonation. Soot and fire aroma, lots of sour and complex smoke flavour. A small bottle is the right measure for this.
Velvet, oil, warming afterglow. Smoked ham in the finish.
I’d prefer a little carbonation in this.

On tap @ Mikkeler Bar 2010. The aroma has dark chocolate, some coffee, fruits. Black coloured brew with an oily, fluorescent brown head. The taste is sweet, bit bitter, has chocolate and little fruitiness. Slick, heavy, straight forward. Good.

Tap @ Copenhagen ’10. Dark color, short brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee. Brown malt, bit sugary. Good stuff.

Black color with a beige head. Aroma moderate to heavy malty (roasted, caramel, dried fruit, dark chocolate), moderate hoppy (grapefruit). Flavor moderate to heavy sweet and bitter, wlong duration. Body is almost full, oily, soft carbonated.

Draft. A pitch black beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of soy sauce, roasted malt, and alcohol, leading to a dry, woody, and alcoholic finish.

Bottle at FairBar. ABV on bottle was 11.11%. Black body with light brown head. Flavour is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and vanilla.

Clear dark black color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, dried fruit, dark chocolate, moderate hoppy, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100506]
