Bottle. Strong sherry aromas, some orange too. Appearance: almost black. Taste: very pleasant, no bitterness at all, mix of delicate sweet with elements of sour. After every sip, beer is getting better and better.

Ok, my bottle shows -Georg logo, same as the beer, pours; black with creamy lasting brown head. ( yea, Georges are more black ) Aroma is roasted, malty coffy, chocolate and licorise. Taste is much the same, adding bitterness, soya and vinious. Oily mouthfeel, with bitter, dry finish. See ya lather Georg.

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2013 Great stout here - equal in quality to the barrel aged versions I’ve had. Looks amazing. Pitch black with a nice full brown head. Aroma is very mild, but the Taste is perfect. Full on the palate, chewy, rich savoury dark malts but still very drinkable. Love this beer.

Bottle 25 cl, BBE 2018. Pours black in color with a beige head. Strong coffee, bit of them roasted and bit like coffee beans sweets in aroma. There’s also some very strong chocolate, perhaps more like cocoa powder kind of notes in aroma as well. Really nice. Smooth mouthfeel, feels very rich too. Bitter chocolate and soft roasted coffee notes in taste with some licorice lingering beneath. Long-lasting roasted coffee notes in aftertaste. This is a very nice brew, where all the components work well together and it seems at the same time that this is better than the calvados/bourbon edition I’ve tried before. So nice and full of aromas and flavors that seem to last forever.

Aromas of licorice, coffee and alcohol. The flavor is a heavy dose of coffee. Strong, dry coffee. Long aftertaste that is slightly dry. But I liked this beer anyway. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.
