Ever been punched in the face by a beer? Our pal George offers anyone willing to try, a thick and oily fist right to the nose.

Pours inky black with no head. Taste is huge with red wine, molasses and licorice. Finish is coffee, chocolate and booze.

Bottle. Aroma burnt, coffee, a bit rough and over-the-top. Light prune, caramel. Pitch black colour, no head to speak of. Nice oily texture. Taste is overly sweet, fruity, prune. Very strong chocolate, some coffee. Cloyingly sweet, this fails to achieve a fine balance. While it is delicious, I would reach elsewhere for an imperial stout.

Bottled. A black hole abyss of an imperial stout! Roasted malt, medium sweet dark chocolate, coffee, caramel with a bitter chocolate finish, some tiny notes of sweet chocolate cake. Taste is great! Dark chocolate, chilly spices, alcohol present but marginal. Some sourness in the taste, but not disturbing. Overall a kinda different RIS and hence very good!

12 ounce bottle poured into a snifter. Poured a thick, black with a khaki colored head of foam. Aroma has notes of notes of nuts, chocolate, and anise. Taste is mostly sweet. but I do get a lot of anise and nuts. Really quite good. Is this a George Foreman beer?

Bottle form West Lakeview Liquors, Chicago. Pours black with thin dark brown head. Big roasty molasses aroma. Great roasty chocolate molasses taste; sweet and bitter like dark chocolate. Almost no trace of booze. Velvety smooth body. Great impy!

incredible aroma. dark fruits, tobacco, rum bread on the nose. very sweet without much of the soy sauce flavor that can overwhelm these imperial stouts. had a raisin-like, figgy character similar to a strong trappist ale. extremely dark brown head w/out any lacing.

Se nota demasiado el alcohol. Buena presencia y sabor fuerte. Alta graduación para tomar después de cenar

Very well build imperial stout. Smoke, coffe, and chocolate in aroma. Coffe, nuts and little backround of spices finished with warming alcohol.

Bottle (330 ml). Black with a medium slowly diminishing beige head and no lacing. Aroma of intense roasted malt, chocolate, liquorice and caramel. Taste is slightly sweet with a huge amount of roasted malt (not coffee though), chocolate, liquorice, caramel, molasses and light vanilla. Some alcohol warming in the finish, but it’s rather well hidden. Full bodied. Medium carbonation. Viscous mouthfeel. Roasty finish. Good balance. Not cloying. Surprisingly drinkably considering the style, the abv and the considerable amount of roasted malt. Very nice RIS!

Bottle. Pours opaque black with a medium super creamy dark brown head that forms late but lasts a long time with great lacing. Aroma is super roasty with chocolate, molasses, anise. Flavor follows, rich and fairly sweet with good compensating bitterness. Perhaps a bit burned or smoky. Thick and creamy mouthfeel. Pretty nice effort!
