A black beer with a small and dark brown head. Aroma is great, coffee, liquirice, some chocolate and roastiness, nice sweetness. Taste is very intensive, liquirice, coffee, some salt, balanced sweetness. The great balance and enjoyable taste. Full bodied, low carbonation, not sticky, surprisingly fresh. This is a big beer, very enjoyable.

At a tasting, many thanks, no head, opaque black color, aroma of cocoa, roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate, flavor of intense bitter sweet chocolate, with some chocolate cake and chocolate liquor with a touch of earthiness and some coffee in the back, tounge coating oily palate. Really good, would be nice to linger on this.

330ml bottle picked up at De Bierkoning
Pours thick black with a small dark brown head, no lacing but coats the glass. Aroma of dark roast coffee, leather and vanilla. Flavors of rich chocolate, ashy, leather with a bitter pine resin finish, black licorice
Very nice and smooth.

Bottle - well I’ve now been punched in the face by a beer. WTF? Very piney hop forward. I’m not sure how I feel about this one.

Bottle from wine and cheese place. Pours black with no head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Kind of piney on the nose. Lots and lots and lots of pine on the tongue. Has a certain what the fuck is this quality to it. Finish lingers a bit. Definitely the most Mikkeller stout I’ve ever had. Of course I’d never have another one.

Dark brown colourer beer with really big and fluffy head on top which leaves nice lacing behind. Aroma has roasted malts, coffee and salty chocolate, like dark chocolate which has sea salt in it. Taste is quite salty and has roasted malts and coffee. Full body with low carbonation. Really tasty stuff.

Drank 28-4 at home while writing. Liked this beer. Pleasant structure, thick and soft. The beer has a rich-dark-bitter taste which is very rich. The taste is all-consuming, full. Hints of dark chocolate, slight coffee, some roasted. A nice beer.

Bottle. Pours dark black, thick, oily, chocolate head. Aromas of espresso, dark chocolate, burnt toast, molasses, leather, red berry. Taste is strong bitter, medium sweet. Full bodied. Pretty intense, bit too bitter with not enough depth to be great though.

#500 rating. Black color, small brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, hints of vanilla and smoke. Dry sweet taste with hoppy bitterness in finish and roasty aftertaste. Full body and soft carbonation. Rich and complex stout.
