Medium brown head. Opaque black body. Resiny roasty coffee aroma with spicy earthy notes. Dry resiny coffee and roast taste with burnt mineraly notes. Full-bodied. Sharpish, slightly hot mouthfeel. Hides the alcohol pretty well. Dry roasty burnt chocolate aftertaste with coffee and sherry notes. Nice, drinkable, balanced. After cellaring for 1-2 years. (0.33l bottle, I have no idea where from.)

Pours a viscous, black color, with a very small, bubbly head, soon vanishing to sheets of lacing. Its aromas are a mix of fudge, milk-chocolate and toffee, among earthy malts. Offers up a hot, slightly alcoholic aspect, making the chocolate a tad sweeter. Toasted, bready malts establish a fitting foundation, balancing the chocolate gently. Tastes very smooth, the beer has almost no carbonation, leading to a silky mouthfeel, showcasing a medium bodied beer. Tastes of bakers-chocolate, sweetened cocoa powder, coconut shell and chocolate fudge cream. Has a distinct coffee earthiness to it, which then gets amped up by a discreet cinnamon coating, providing an enjoyable bitterness. Finishes outstandingly smooth with earth, bakers-chocolate and a late, but long lasting, coffee tartness. Features a well compounded beer, with a fantastic, dough mouthfeel to it, revealing a convincing flavor diversity, mainly due to the rich coffee and hot chocolate appearance.

330 ml bottle, as Mikkeller George (no exclamation mark), from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 12.12%. Pitch black colour, low brown head. Roasty aroma (not unexpected), notes of oak and fusel, also chocolate, coffee and molasses. Low carbonation. Thick and warming mouthfeel. The flavour is very roasty, with notes of strong coffee, dark bitter chocolate, liquorice, alcohol and tar. Bitter hops in the finish. A "punch in the face" indeed, not very harmonious, and probably not intended to be.

Black as night. Dark brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, milk, wood. Taste: wonderful. Very sweet for an imperial stout, wood, chocolate, roastyness. Full body. Awesome beer.

Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with good brown head, good retention. Nose is intense on dark chocolate, dark caramel, biscuits and sweet like. Aroma is intense on dark chocolate too, biscuits, licorice, cookies, dry with some bitterness, salted feeling, soy sauce, bit vinous and tannic, plum notes, burnt cake, robust body on dark malt notes. Very long duration of dark notes on aftertaste, well balanced, good complexity, not too sweet, very appreciable.
