Black colored beer with a dark brown head. Hardly any carbonation. Rich aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, liquor. Flavor is identical. Surprisingly sweet and I expected more bitterness from the roasted malts. But no, everything is very nicely balanced.

Notes of chocolate and pepper, overall coffee taste and strong alcohol. Nice head and a very dark black color. Spicey but well balanced stout. Very good.

Oh this is just my favorite beer. Very big and strong. Lots of roasted malt. Pours black. Almost no foam. Tasty. You can feel the abv but you think its less than it actually is and just notice when you are ordering the next one and see two bartenders. I dont know if it being a 250 cc bottle is a good or bad thing.

0,25l bottle as gift from Denmark. Opaque, black color with medium, creamy, dark brown head, which disappears quickly. Sweet, alcoholly odor followed by roasty, smoked malt flavours. The aroma is incredibly smoky and roasty. At the beginning it’s sweet and caramelly, but after the firs impressions it’s dry and tastes like a roast pork. It’s definitelly made with a lot of smoked malt, which causes this meet flavour. It must had a lot of chocolate malt too which makes the color so black, but it doesn’t make the beer sour and bitter. Alcohol and honey flavours also appears. Dry, intensive and complex taste, nothing can dominate, but all the three basic flavours (sweet, sour, bitter) appears. Full bodied with oily texture and light carbonation. Roast pork finish. It’s an interesting beer. Surprisingly complex, incredibly oily and full bodied. This beer is dominated by the malty flavours, and from this view it’s the opposite of the Mikkeller Black Hole, which is a "hoppy imperial stout". It’s a concentrated beer, 25cl is totally enough. The alcohol content isn’t too high, and it can’t be felt as dominant in the aroma. The texture, the body, and the malty flavours make this beer this rich and concentrated.

Bottle. An opaque jet black beer, with an average sized, frothy, lightly lacing, mostly lasting, dark brown head. The aroma is moderately to heavily malty (roasted grain, chocolate, molasses, coffee), lightly hoppy (resin, grapefruit), with notes of tar, leather, smoke, plum/prune, licorice and alcohol. The flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, very long finish with moderate to heavy bitterness (bitter chocolate like), moderately alcoholic. A roasty licorice and bitter chocolate oriented stout, a bit fruity and hoppy. Maybe the final bitterness is lightly sharp/edgy, hence no five on palate. But a damn good beer.

25 Cl Bottle. Deep black impenetrable, light carbonation. Mouthfeel is full body, umami, caramel, licorice and a mix of chocolate, roasted malts and vanilla. The finish is long and complex with a slight coffee, and candy sugar syrup . A great imperial stout!

Ca tre år gammal flaska. Kolsvart, lågt mörkbeige skum, tjock klibbig vätska. Doft av torkade plommon, soja, antydan till portvin. Söt, kraftig, klibbig,alkoholvärme och måttlig beska. Muskovado, chokladkola, vanilin, katrinplommon, soja, brörnbärssylt, portvin, lätt rökig. Riktigt maffig men kanske lite väl söt. Några år till hade nog gjort den gott.

En kraftfull tjock och krämig imperial stout. Smak av kaffe, choklad och med toner av rök och vanilj. Detta är en flaska som fått stå något år men det hade nog inte skadat om den fått några år till på nacken. En rund och eftersmak med en beska av bitterchoklad.

Bottle, 25 cl. Pitch black with a light brown head. Hefty roasted malt, dark fruits, chocolate and licorice in the nose. Intense dark malts, roasted and ashy with licorice and sweet vanilla. Big and bold. Finishing malt bitterness. Dangerously seductive, you might end up half drunk. I did.

bottle on 12/18/11. black color with orange at the edges and a small orange-brown head.\ vinous fruity aroma mixed with cocoa, roast, milk and dust. the palate is a too sweet version of the aroma mixed with some saltiness and a mild bitterness on the finish.
