0,25l bottle as gift from Denmark. Opaque, black color with medium, creamy, dark brown head, which disappears quickly. Sweet, alcoholly odor followed by roasty, smoked malt flavours. The aroma is incredibly smoky and roasty. At the beginning it’s sweet and caramelly, but after the firs impressions it’s dry and tastes like a roast pork. It’s definitelly made with a lot of smoked malt, which causes this meet flavour. It must had a lot of chocolate malt too which makes the color so black, but it doesn’t make the beer sour and bitter. Alcohol and honey flavours also appears. Dry, intensive and complex taste, nothing can dominate, but all the three basic flavours (sweet, sour, bitter) appears. Full bodied with oily texture and light carbonation. Roast pork finish. It’s an interesting beer. Surprisingly complex, incredibly oily and full bodied. This beer is dominated by the malty flavours, and from this view it’s the opposite of the Mikkeller Black Hole, which is a "hoppy imperial stout". It’s a concentrated beer, 25cl is totally enough. The alcohol content isn’t too high, and it can’t be felt as dominant in the aroma. The texture, the body, and the malty flavours make this beer this rich and concentrated.

Superbe.

The description was right, punch in the face it is! Heavy stout aroma and taste, with the 12% of alcohol kicking only through the breath after swallowing the beer. As awesome as it is, you can’t drink this beer, you have to take the time to savor it! I still prefer the milk stout from the same brewery, easier to drink.

Biere très crémeuse. legere amertume, torréfaction. L’alcool se goute très fort en première gorgée. A boire très calmement

Aroma reminds of bourbon barreled stout. First in the mouth is kind of magic. Coffee and chocolate mousse. Later on, more roasting and pure chocolate.

Grande, immensa birra. Buona come poche, immensa.

Finally I got "normal" version of George! Pours like motor oil opaque black with unstable foamy brown head, which transforms itself to a ring around the glass. Aroma is very strong, with mild low notice of an alcohol, strong presence of coffee, cocoa powder, dark fruits, oak, tobacco, vanilla, cinnamon, molasses and dark chocolate. Flavor is smooth mouthfeel, with concrete presence of an alcohol, which have cognac like flavor, but perfectly balanced with spicy sweetness of malts, with hints of soy sauce, tobacco, cloves, vanilla, cocoa powder etc. Malt sweetness is high, hop bitterness also, but perfectly harmonised. Body is sticky, carbonation low, finish is bitter-sweet. Another masterpiece, made by Mikkel and brewed by great Mike Murphy from Lervig.

Bottle. Black ,brown top. Roasty, but soft sweet malty, coffee beany, licorice intensive aroma. Full bodied, slight oily palate, long lingering roasty dark finish. Charred fruits, oily ashy flavour. A lot of flavour here. Sort of understand now why theres so many ba versions of this. Deep dark, but as such bit plain straight roasty. Some of the abv shining through.
