Bottle at home just now. Black with a Reddish Tan head. Looks damn fine. A massive imperial stout. Humming of roast malt and booze. Chocolatey full body. Ashy bitterness and a full foamy texture. Puts a sheen in your cheeks after only a few sips. A beer too spend a bit of time on. Absolutely delicious.

Great stout! Bottle 330. Deep dark colour, good lacing. Roasted malty aroma with a hint of chocolate and vanilla. Smooth smoked flavour of dark chocolate, dried fruits and coffee. Also barely perceptible alcohol in finish.

Bottle at Mikkeller Bar (SF) with Linh. Pours a beautiful deep blackish brown body with thin brown lacing. Aroma is rich roast, sweet sharpie marker, whiskey, sweet malt and chocolate. Mouthfeel is actually quite thin with lots of sharpie character coming through. A rich bitter roasty flavor hits the back of the throat. Tough to drink this by myself. A good drink, but in small portions.

Bottled 330ml. -fromSvijet Piva Zagreb. Side by side tasting with Brian. Pitch black of course, small dark brown head that went away fast, chocolate in the nose. Heavy roasted malt, dark chocolate, strong hops presence and much stronger alcohol in the aroma than Brian has. Ashy and chocolate finish. Complex and thick but also easy-drinkable brew. George "punches" stronger.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a longlasting dark brown medium head. Looks sooo good. Aromas of vanilla, dark sweet fruits, coffee beans, some roast, fudge. Taste is strong roast up front, bittersweet chocolate, slight licorice, dark sweet fruits, lots of vanilla, fudge. A very complex taste indeed. This is one of the best non-BA imperial stouts I’ve had. So good!

33cl bottle @El Lúpulo Feroz, Oviedo. 24-02-2014.
In short: viscous Imp. Stout.
Pours black with little tan head. Short head retention, some lacing. Coffee, roasty, vanilla, spicy aromas. Medium body, silky texture, soft carbonation. Taste is quite bitter, some dry, coffee, roasty, chocolate, vanilla, some sweet hints, in a viscous body. More or less balanced, alcohol noticeable. Quite enjoyable.

(On tap at Mikkeller Bar Stockholm, Oct 13 2014) Pours pitch black with a dark tan head that’s small but lingers with lace. Aroma has black coffee, pretty strongly roasted malts, smoky and almost peaty with some soy. Palate is rich and lightly sweet at first with bittersweet chocolate, black coffee, slight dark fruit, smoky roasted and charred dark malt, a bit of whiskey character and soy lingering. Dries towards the finish with bitter roast, coffee, smoke, light hops, lingering soy and malt sweetness. Thick and oily but not cloying with moderate carb. There is some booze but less than expected with a bit of heat. Just a lovely imperial, really big and really balanced as well, high flavour concentration.
