gyllenbock (5598) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 24, 2015
Bottle from Bierkompass, bought in March 2014. A bit hazy reddish/amber with a small head. Aroma of vinegar, alcohol, orange, wood and some funk. Similar taste. The mouthfeel was creamy. The finish was dryish. A good one.

@ Gyllenbock 15-3-23: ganska potent doft. Smaken är fint balanserad med söta fattoner, apelsin och lite vinäger. Fin fyllighet. Gott. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---- Soberness not garanteed!

Bottle. Hazy orange in color with an off-white head. Notes of orange peel, vanilla (wood), dried fruits and little bit of balsamic notes in aroma. Malty sweet notes in taste at first, some dried fruits and bit of orange marmalade in taste. Sweet and boozy finish. Original in a way, but not something I would have on a regular basis.

Benzai (9772) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 19, 2014
Bottle @ home shared by Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Clear dark orange or light reddish color, medium to full off-white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts, rich deep wood, red fruit, liquor. Taste malts, oranges come trough way stronger than I had expected, alcohol, again strongly wood, quite strongly liquor, quite sweet. A bit too much oranges and sweetness for my liking. Great aroma, but the taste does not really do it for me.

Bottle @ benzai with dutchdrebus. Red brown color with a small head. Smells sweet, fruity, wood, orange, peaches, stroop. Tastes sweet, plakkerig, jam, syrup, alcohol, wood, fruity, some herbs. Too sweet.

Bottle @ benzai. 11% abv according to the bottle. Clear amber to light copper colour with a medium sized off-white head that doesn’t last too long. Smells grand marnier, wood, alcohol, oranges, sweet, rinse appelstroop, syruppy, jam. Tastes quite sweet, grand marnier, lots of wood, alcohol, apricot, orange, slightly cider. Full body, nice carbo and surprisingly enjoyable.

Ruby, dusty red. Thin head. Aroma of benzen, orange, vinegar. Taste of apricot, some funkyness, orange, alcoholic. Deels kinda unbalanced. The Grand marnier sweetness hits in the end. Interesting thou

elbernays (791) - Dublin, IRELAND - JUN 21, 2014
Bottle at home from drinkstore. Pours marmalade orange, white head disappears. Aroma has so much going on - orange liquor, orange rind, tobacco, cinnamon, nail polish remover, dry oak overwhelmed by a sour aroma. Then flavour is sweet orange liquor, syrup with a mild alcohol finish. The body is full and a dry oak finish. None of the chemical nose is in the flavour. This is an unusual beer and a bit outrageous.

500 ml bottle shared from Redmonds. Thanks elbernays. Mad nose, pithy orange, white wine, oak, and a band aid, chemical note. Flavour is better, sherry rich, cinnamon spice, candied orange. Lush mouthfeel, slick, no carbonation. Real dessert wine characteristics. Better than the sum of its parts.
