A - Hazy golden-yellow with a finger of frothy white head. Fades normal. S - Orange and citrus hops, sweet wheat and grainy malts, lemon zest, tart and funky Brett. T - Orange, grapefruit, citrus, and light floral hops, mild bitterness, sweet wheat and grainy malts, tart lemon zest, funky brett and other farmhouse flavors. M - Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Smooth with a dry, tart finish. D - Nice funky IPA. Could use a bit more hop character, but the balance is nice.

Tap at Craft, Brixton, 18/01/13, thanks to Chris for the pour. Lightly hazed pale golden with a thin white cap that retains well. Good lacing follows. Nose carries light sour tones, orange, citrus, hops, apricot, grass. Taste follows, background sugars, hops, candyfloss, farmy notes, light funk. Medium in body a tad prickly in the carbonation stakes, dry finish. Decent enough IPA meets Saison!

Golden pour with amber aspirations. Short head, that’s nearly white but sticks around. The nose is loaded with fresh citrus fruit and early morning spruce. There’s an almost funky note over the of everything that I assume is the brett influence. A little less interesting on the palate. Some tropical fruit and noticeable funkiness. Quite light and easy, finishing with a light bitterness.

Birrot interessant dels de Mikkeller, amb l’amargor d’una IPA però amb toc de gust de blat. Per repetir habitualment!

Appearance: hazy golden color, very tall white head that lasts, very impressive head Aroma: lemon, hops Taste: dry and lemon flavor initially, then the hops kick in with some bitterness Palate: burns on the tongue at first, then kind of frothy, lingering hop aftertaste Overall: pretty interesting, it's like an IPA and wheat beer mixed together ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled, 330ml from Beers of Europe, Norfolk. Hazy amber with white head. This really has the best of both worlds mixed in. There is a strong pear drop character from the wheat side, banana, fruity then a big kick in of hops, dry, lemony, grapefruit. Loads of flavour and palate, dry, tingly. Would be a higher mark if I got on with wheat beers a little better, but very good nevertheless.

(Rating #4365)

Mikkeller need to get a new label designer. They are rubbish. What the hell is this all about? It’s lazy, though it’s probably the only complaint I have about them. Lots of lemon. I was talking about mega hops and belgian yeast on my way to work this morning. Car journeys can be an excellent start and end of the working day. Think they’re here, but I don’t know cause there’s a fine balance rather than an intense hop bitterness. You tell me...
