Bottle from Mari’s six pack. Pours golden light brown with nice head that lingers. Nose is vegetal and Mikkller yeast with slight hops. First sip is nice balance of hoppy biterness with malty slight bubble gum but lingerung grapfruit. Not bad. Slightly overrated.

Bottle. Dark brown and red with a large off white foam. Aromas are marzipan and spices with toffee malts. Burnt toast with floral notes and spices. Grapefruit and pineapple with bready yeast. Flavours are peppery, sweet and bitter grapefruit with strong herbal notes. Peanuts with pine and alcohol on the finish. Toffee with bitter lemon and grapefruit. Very good.

Bottle at home. A deep amber colour and misty. On top a big frothy, and afterwards, bumpy head. The aroma hits me allready when i open the bottle, and is dominated by fruity and floral hops with additions of bread and hints of alcohol. The flavours are definately following up with a fruity and very hoppy taste. There are also some grains and wood. The bitterness is very distinct and lasting, and gives a dry ending to it. A very slick mouthfeel. Very rich and IPA which is naturaly dominated by hops, but still are very balanced and round in the taste. Nice one.

A decent IPA. Very European in flavor. Aroma was roasted malt caramel and toffee. Pour was a dark cloudy gold/light brown with a lots of sediment and a one finger off white head. Taste was very malty. Strong toffee, chewy caramel and hints of brown sugar in the front. After the swallow some green, slightly bitter European hops come up and leave the mouth bitter. Perfect balance of sweetness and bitter. Not the way I like my IPAs but very tasty nonetheless. Nice carbonation.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 JEK69 (37) - FRANCE - FEB 2, 2012
Pours orange, ivory head. Smells raw green hop aromas first then some tropical notes that remind Simcoe or Amarillo hop varieties.
Medium bodied, well balanced, sweet up front, and turns into a little bitter but fair aftertaste. Extra American Style IPA.
A kind of Syhthesis between all the Mikkeller Single hops I tasted last month. Really Good !

3-4 ounce sample from a bottle at The Davis Beer Shoppe. The aroma on this has stale and soapy hops, with maybe a little light spiciness. Nothing else really happening. Mildly hazy amber body with a moderate off-yellowish head that is strong. Starts well...with herbal hop flavors. Not too much else happening. Some huskiness in the middle. Light bitterness late. Very subdued. Not so good. Fuck Mikkeller and their underwhelming beer.

33 cl. bottle. Pours a medium, long duration, ivory colored head, with extensive lacing, over a very slightly hazy light amber (SRM 7) body....nose is pine, light citrus, toffee/caramel, light floral honey.....taste is toffee/caramel, with floral honey tones, leading into light apricot, finishing with a soft bittersweet hop layer....mouth feel medium, slightly sticky, carbonation low. This is sweeter and has many more complex malt tones than many an "American" style IPA. The sweetness resembles the I/DIPA style more than that of the typical IPA, but without the larger hop backbone. It is in other words slightly unbalanced for my palate. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Ferfie (174) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 27, 2012
Originally rated 09/20/11. On tap at Sugar Bowl. Bottom of the keg and this is murky brown. Looks like the stool sample Austin Powers drinks from in the second one. Huge yellowish tight yet fluffy head. Tons of pine and citrus hops. Resiny, grapefruit, and a touch of caramel to round everything out. The tast is as expected, tons of pine, like sap from a cedar tree, grapefruit and tangerine, some spice as the caramel builds - actually the caramel is quite prominent for a single. Very nicely balanced actually, taste much bigger than I thought. Mouthfeel helps as its quite substantial, almost like oil with a very smooth carbonation. This thing feels and tastes like a IIPA. great stuff.
