Yesper, JK, hellomynameis and others put together one hell of a sampler for us. Lightly hazy amber color with plenty of head. Slightly malty nose is dominated by intense hops. Fruity malt character and a hoppy finish with thick mouthfeel.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mds (2118) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 22, 2007
Bottle. Pours an orange-amber body with a white soapy head. The aroma is leafy with a good dose of grapefruit and oranges. There is also some bready cereal and light caramel.
The body is warming and fairly dry - grape skins and grapefruit pulp flavours along with caramelly butterscotch.
Well balanced aside from a bit of alcohol peaking through.

(thanks to yespr and the mpls crew for sharing) Pours amber with an off-white head. Very citrusy smell with some caramel in there too. Nice sweet malt flavor up front followed by a roasty element finishing with some bitter grapefruit and lemon. Pretty much a thicker version of the Stateside IPA.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Blom (809) - Odense, DENMARK - OCT 8, 2007
Am amber beer with a nice off-white head. Aroma of mint, diesel, caramel and alcohol. Harshly bitter in the flavour with a taste of mint, caramel and grape (!).
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Skyview (5031) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - OCT 7, 2007
Sampled from the Yespr collection, shared at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a hazy orange amber amber brew with a thick and slow dissolving off-white head that has some good lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrusy and pine hops and a touch of light fruit. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated, with some flavors of caramel malt, dry fruits and touch of grapefruit zest. Finish is mildly bitter with a more citrus hops than malt aftertaste.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 JK (3989) - Uptown, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 6, 2007
Thanks to Yespr. A great fresh hop aroma. The beer seems very fresh overall, an accomplishment considering where it came from. Full bodied malt and hop flavor, both flavors are intense and balance each other. Excellent, thick, sweet and heavy palate.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 sthlm (1228) - Iowa, USA - OCT 6, 2007
[Bottle, thanks yespr for apparently leaving this behind for the Mpls crew to try after RBSG] Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is very fruity and hoppy--it reminded me of the Stateside but a little toned down. Quite sweet, malty, a little hoppy but not out of control. Medium mouthfeel. Slightly better than Stateside, despite the aroma being a small step down.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 hellomynameis (872) - Mayer, Minnesota, USA - OCT 5, 2007
this bottle has some age and may be why the aroma is lacking a bit. Never-the-less, nice hippy aroma without much else. The body is quite good and the flavours ends up being a bit plain with some bittering hops in the forefront and not much for real hop flavour. Has an uninteresting malt profile. Not bad by any stretch of the imagineation but not really very exciting.
4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 joebrew (608) - Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA - OCT 5, 2007
UPDATED: OCT 8, 2007 Thanks to Yesper for sharing. Pours a fiery reddish orangish brown. Very perfumy flloral hoppiness and a good dose of citrus. Holy citrus hops. A nearby friend said "I believe they have defined IPA" and that is very true. Killer citrusy finish. Wow is this good!
