3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: APR 13, 2011 Bottle shared by drewbeerme- thanks again! Pours a clear amber color with an off-white head. Aroma of hops, a good amount of lemon and tangerine, herbs, grass, and sweet malts. The citrus in the flavor is a little more like grapefruit than tangerine or lemon, with more of the herbs, grass, and sweet malts of the nose. Light-medium bodied, with a fresh citric mouthfeel and solid carbonation. I think this just hit West Lakeview Liquors super fresh, and it’s very nice. Re-Rate: No change in the rating, just a note that it’s a lot more resinous than I remember. Great IPA.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy copper color with a big white head that has fair retention and plenty of sticky lacing. The aroma is citrus, nougat, and green hops. The flavor is similar to the aroma, loads of grapefruit, caramel, pine and herbs. The palate is full and malty smooth with lively carbonation. Finishes dry, short and clean. Overall: Very IPA--but it should come in a bigger bottle.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
12oz bottle poured into a Delirium snifter. The color is a mix between copper and gold. Has a nice thick, bubbly, fluffy head with amazing retention. Has a good amount of citrus hops in the aroma, along with grapefruit and tangerine. A lot more fruity notes then I was expecting. The flavors are a mix of bitter, sweet and tart. Lingers pretty long on the tongue and mouth for some time. A really enjoyable beer.

Tap @ Mikkeller. Nice copper coloured pour with a light caramel coloured head, all kinds of good looking. The aroma holds a roundhouse kick of hops, piney hops, fruity hops, slightly citric, and packing a very crispy caramel malt balance as well. The taste has the same crunchy hoppiness, lovely fruity hops, apples, pine, a stinging bitterness balanced by a delicious caramel malt backbone and your mouth is twisted a the last punches of hops bitterness in a long after taste. Very good!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Unusual sweetness and lack of bitterness (but still there’s a nice hoppiness) for an IPA. Doesn’t remind much other IPAs I’ve tried so far. Reminds some Belgian ales a bit. One of my favourite beers so far.
