Mikkeller’s tribute to the green gold.

Pours muddy brownish orange color with off white head. Aromas of grapefruit, lychees and pine needles with some caramel. Lots of pine flavor with some bitter grapefruit rind and some sweet maltiness. Medium body withmoderate carbonation and a resinious mouthfeel. A nice IPA.

Draught at the Blue Monk in Buffalo. Pours a cloudy orange almost red colour with small white head and beautiful lacing. Smells hoppy and sweet. Taste bitter initially with a little grapefruit. Juste awesome, love what they’re doing.

On tap at Blue Monk in Buffalo, NY. I was very impressed by this. Pours a hazy amber, and smells deeply of pine. Taste has significant honey in it. I was immediately reminded of Bells Hopslam with this one. Almost tasted like a combo IPA/Barleywine.

11.2oz bottle. Muddy deep orange pour with a large and lasting, tight bubbled off-white head. Extremely good lacing though (saves it). Aromas of orange, pine needles, tangerine, grapefruit rind, light hints of alcohol. Malt is a bit on the sweet and distracting side caramel and bready. Lightly tea like. Medium esters. Flavors of citrus, orange, tangerine. Medium bitterness, overall only a slightly bitter balance. Malt bill is a touch flabby, caramel, bready, light leather. A light lingering bitterness. A bit tea like. Some mango in the long duration. Medium esters. Slightly warming. Decently drinkable surprisingly (I generally like the malt presence on my IPA’s to be a little less forward). Surprisingly fresh half way around the world. Medium to slightly fuller bodied, medium carbonation. A good bitter bite in the finish. Tasty.

SCHIUMA: color beige, abbondante, piuttosto fine e buona persistenza.

330ml bottle from IPB.
Appearance : Dark amber with a big foamy and creamy off white head. Extensive lacing.
Aroma : Big resinous and piny hops. Nice floral notes. Caramel malt. Nice malt.
Taste : Resinous hops. Piny and floral. Lots of malt. Notes of caramel. Finish quite resinous and piny. Sharp bitterness.
Palate : Soft and gentle carbonation. Quite quaffable even if finish is quite bitter and resinous.
Overall : Nice stuff. A bit too resinous and piny for my taste but quite well balanced. Nice carbonation. Very nice overall.

Bottle. Poured a cloudy dark orange color. The head was thick and long lived with nice lacing. Fresh leafy pine and orange hop aromas accented by ample caramel. Medium bodied with delicate, fleeting sweetness up front. Dry and aggressively bitter at the end. Pine, citrus zest, subdued caramel flavors.

Hazy orange brown with a light tan head. The nose holds loads of resinous pine, grapefruit, and grass. The flavor is wickedly dank with herbal and citrus hops abounding. A nice bready caramel malt character provides a nice balance. The palate is medium to full for the style, with a sticky resinous finish.
