4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nicely bitter, resinous hop bomb. Mikkeller has a good thing going with most of his IPAs, this one is no exception.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl bottle. Nice amber color, good IPA-aroma, very bitter, a bit thick texture. Good IPA, but a tad too bitter and thick for me.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a dark orange, light amber color. Muted grassy hops. Could be a little dated but still a pretty well made and easily drinkable beer. Nice caramel sweetness and malt goodness. Again the hop aroma is on the grassy, hay side of the equation and the hop flavor profile is much the same. Nice balance going on here.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sligthly hazy amber color, mediumsized white head. Fresh, green, fruity aroma: orange peel, tangerine, citrus, tropical fruit, with some cookies and caramel behind the hops. Flavour is almost like the aroma, but with some grassy and flowery notes together with tangarine and tropical fruit. Balanced, soft bitterness. Average carbonation, mediumbodied.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draught@Mikkeller bar, Copenhagen. Hazy reddish brown looks with a creamy mid sized tan head. Lookin’ good. Hops aplenty in the nose married with some sweetness and tropical fruit notes. Had a feeling this was going to be the bomb and the taste certainly didn’t disappoint. Supremely fresh flavour that struck a sublime balance and allowed the hops to shine brightly. Could chug away on this until the bleedin cows come home. An all round winner.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle poured into a tulip.
Pours a deep, clear amber with a frothy beige head that recedes very slowly to a thick cap and leaves delicate lacing along the sides.
Aroma is juicy with pithy grapefruit and some sweeter citrus notes as well. There is more than a hint of caramel and a touch of lemongrass as it warms.
The taste is bitter up front with the grapefruit taking on a much more abrasive character. The malts are present but overshadowed by the hop blast. The finish is drier than I was expecting.
The mouthfeel is dry and bitter, but still with a bit of sugary sweetness lingering as well.
This is a solid IPA that’s not exactly balanced as the hops are definitely abrasive and bitter. Still, Mikkel knowns his way around IPAs.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From tap@Håndverkerstuene, Oslo. Cloudy reddish amber body. A finger of coarse blond foam on top. Zesty and resinous hop aroma, and a whiff of subdued semi-dry malts. Taste has a medium to heavy bitterness. Oily, with citrus and tropical notes. Strong, fairly sweet malty backbone. More than medium full. Lasting hop bitter ending. A rock solid IPA.
