Mikkeller’s tribute to the green gold.

0,33 l. bottle from Kihoskh, Copenhagen. Cloudy amber colour, small offwhite head. Very fresh aroma, hops and pines. Flavor is bitter and hoppy, with flowers and pines. Oily palate, long lasting finish - a very nice brew.

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2011 Bottle as Green Easter. Hazy orange copper with a large, beige to yellow porous head leaving lacing. Aroma: lots of hops, citrus, pine, and tropical fruits, caramel, licorice. Taste: citrus, pine, resin, caramel, salmiak, medium but growing bitterness, dry finish. Medium bodied, feels like pollen on the palate. Fresh and drinkable, this is really good. 8/4/8/4/17=4.1
Finally get a chance to have this on draught. Fresher and hoppier than on bottle, still has a great balance between the citrusy, piny hops and the caramel. One of my favourite "single" IPAs.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2011 Aroma: Sweet malts, boozy, lots of earthy hops, grapefruit, resin, citric, tropical fruits, passionfruit, lychee. Appearance: hazy ambe rcolour, medium off-white head, lacing. Flavour: big bite, onslaught of bitterness, warming alcohol, heavy maltbase. The hops are earthy and not that fruity, resin and pine dominate. Mouthfeel: Rather smooth, small lively bubbles. Total: Solid IPA, but i prefer a less overwhelming maltbase in my IPAs this is verging on DIPA territory.

Molt amarga i una olor espectacular. Acabes la cervesa, tornes a olorar l’ampolla i continua sent una olor fantàstica.

(Bottle 16/3-2011) Wonderful hoppy aroma with a nice bitter finish. This is a really good and balanced IPA with some of the best American hop types.

11.2 oz bottle from EZ. Poured a flat muddy light brown body underneath a giant foamy light beige head. Aroma is awesome with tons of fresh citrus rind, hint of pine sap, grain. The medium body on this is brought down slightly by the distracting super small tight overly bubbly carbonation, mildly lingering bitterness. Flavor of citrus rind, toast, grapefruit and some caramel mats. Nicely done but why the hell do I keep paying these outrageous prices Mikkeller charges??

Bottle. (labeled as Green Easter IPA) Dark amber with a nice head. Really a lot of "green" hops in this one. Nice bitterness and a oily body. A fresh and very drinkable IPA.
