COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mikkeller’s tribute to the green gold.

Bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours cloudy copper with a foamy heige head and a toffee aroma. There is a very tasty caramel malt flavor with a smooth hop bitterness. A really nice IPA.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2011 660 ml bottle @ Olutravintola Pannuhuone. Rated @ 4.6.2010.
Hazy amber colour and a large ff-white head. Very IPA-like aroma with notes of strong fresh hops, citrus and caramel. Hops dominate the taste and create a hop bomb. Notes of pine needles and sweet malts too. Medium bodied, lively carbonation and a nice dry hoppy finish. Really enjoyable. 9-4-8-4-16, 4.1

330 ml bottle. BBE 22.06.2013.
Pours a deep, hazy, amber colour with a large, foamy, slightly off-white head. Aroma of very strong floral hops and caramel. Flavour of strong floral hops again, pine needles, pine and caramel. Very smooth and quite foamy mouthfeel with a finish of floral hops, caramel and some tobacco. I’m guessing this has Nelson Sauvin and Sorachi Ace at least. Still great.

This beer has a very enthusiastic head! 12 ounces went right to the top of a full pint glass! Golden tan and clear after the head finally settles. Aroma of fresh, intense hops. Really interesting in that the flavor is astringent, piney, grapefruit hops and sweet, toffee, caramel, but they are very distinct and not blended like most strong IPAs! It’s not that they aren’t balanced (they are) but they seem to be separate parts of the beer that counter-balance each other. Very interesting, intense and enjoyable beer.

The name is immediately revealed in the pour, literally gold with green hues, kind of murky, but really looks like a dank ipa, so I’m excited Nice big white head with sticky lacing
Smells of various hop aromas from floral and citrus to grass with sweet malty notes
Taste is big time ipa following smell
Feel is medium with a memory foam pillowy nature
Drink is smooth with bitterness that sticks around
Overall a big american ipa, my kind of hoppy brew

This was a fabulous, fabulous IPA. Great floral and citrus nose, very strong hop in the American Style. Then a remarkably smooth and balanced body with some hop flavor, but also a medium (not too heavy) body and slight sweetness. An exceptionally blalanced IPA. Manages to have bold flavors without being bruising. GREAT

Bottle from Pizza Port Bottle Shop. Pours hazy dark amber with a 4 finger clingy, ringy, foamy beige/yellow head. Aroma is light malt plus crushed cedar tendrels. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is pretty evergreen. A little cedar. Some grapefruit comes in the finish. It’s a pretty tasty beer.

From a tap,a little sour more sweet, gold in color, white head, fizzy,a decent beer from millkkeller was expecting a little more hoppier.

11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a moderate off-white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and laced the glass well. Very pleasant aroma of grapefruit and bready malt. The flavor begins with malt with the same bready characteristic as the aroma, followed by a wash of grapefruit hops bitterness that is more pith than fruit. Dries out a bit at the finish with a lingering bitterness in the back of throat that extends well beyond the swallow. At $5.99/bottle, while a solid beer, not something I’d look to revisit.

33 cl bottle. Murky brown color, huge thick beige head. Aroma of wet grass and scallions. Taste is extremely bitter from start to finish. True to the style, but too bitter for my taste.

bottle. Potent hop oils over cloudy/hazy IPA. Doesn’t look good; luckily smells great, even then not as HUGE as most IPA. Drinkable w/ a pleasant bitterness. Floral & fun. Expensive thou, points lost there.
