Mikkeller’s tribute to the green gold.

Pours a cloudy amber with a big frothy, foamy beige head. Aroma contains caramel malts, sugar, grapefruit, cherry, floral hops, and soft pine. Its a very nice blend. The taste doesn’t really have much of that caramel malt, although its still present. Instead, the floral notes and pine are much more apparent. It has a pretty good hoppy bite. But since the floral hops are so abundant, this feels like a "cleaner" or more fresh IPA. Aftertaste is this combination of hops and pine. Medium in body with a sticky texture. This one is quite different for this style and its good. Although I think I enjoy your more standard versions more.

330ml bottle from Brewdog online store. Hazy deep orange-red amber colour, foamy beige head leaving lacing and aroma of tropical fruit mango, floral citrus, pine, hop resin. Taste is malt caramel balanced with grapefruit & pine hoppy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry lingering bitter finish. Very drinkable IPA.

Bottle- pours hazy, deep malty brown, dense milky khaki head. Floaters all over so this looks a bit dated. Nose is bit musty, dark fruits, caramel malts, earthy and some pithy notes. Almost the same flavor profile. Bit past it's prime but still drinkable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Whiskey sour nose. Had on keg, opaque on the eye. Good legs, very nice lacing. Rich buttery raisin taste. Soreen loaf would be an apt comparison. Nice malt undertones ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared a 33cl bottle. Pours a hazy brownish amber with a thin small white head. Aroma is floral hops and malty caramel. Average carbonation and light to medium body. Taste is bitter followed by sweet and pine notes. Overall, a very good brew and a good "recuerdo" of my days in the West Coast.
