COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mikkeller’s tribute to the green gold.

Gorgeous tasty IPA with perfect aroma, reminder of red fruits from the tropics. Bitternes is the best.not great price but you pay for what you get, so great value.

Draught at the Euston Tap, London on 28 March 2014. Poured a cloudy orange with a dense, white head. Aroma of fresh hops, caramel and gooseberry. Sweet malty flavours; toffee, sponge cake and some grassy hop bitterness. Finish was pine needles, aniseed earthy dryness.

Really shocked I’ve not rated this yet. Murky vibrant orange, eggshell ringed thick head. Big US malt sweetness on the nose, firmly hoppy but little else. Initial taste of syruppy hop sweetness, rich and nutty like a bowl of Crunchy Nut left on the windowsill until you get home from work. Thick malty sweetness, creamy burn cooling edge in the middle reaffirms this. Peppery, perfumed vibe laminates the full mouthfeel. Harmonious hop finish and a fading malt sweetness on the peppery linger.

On tap. Hazy amber pour. Small off-White head. Nice flowery hoppy Nose, sweet hoppy taste. Long bitter finish. Really good IPA. Soft carbonation.

An enjoyable pleasure from Mikkeller. A Golden IPA with a creamcoulered had. A balanced aroma with a streng, but not agressive taste of hops. There is a god balance between the caramelmalt and the citrus in the simcoe, amarillo and cascade.

Keg in Pivni, York. A really good full flavoured IPA. Good full mouthfeel and very enjoyable to drink. Excellent stuff.

Bottle thanks to Homer, as Green Easter IPA. A bit of a gusher on the pour, not too bad. Pours murky hazel, medium creamy tan head, nice lacing. Aroma is malty, nutty, caramel, biscuit, pine, citrus. Flavor is quite sweet, malty with light bitterness and some pine. Finish is bitter. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Drinks a lot more like an american barley wine than an IPA, frankly. Meh.

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2014 Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A murky dark amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, malty, caramel, fruity aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, malty, caramel, citrus fruit, slight bitterness and sweetness. Complex, rich and downright tasty, my kind of beer.

Keg @ Euston Tap. Citrus nothingness. A bit old maybe and not surprised at that price. Need to try a fresh bottle for a proper rating.

Bottle from Total Wine in Boca Raton, Fl. Poured into a snifter at home. Cloudy orange brown pour with a thick fluffy head. Solid lacing. Aroma of serious pine, citrus and fresh hay with bread and malts. Great taste of balanced malts and serious hops characters with pine, resin, earth and citrus notes. Medium body, good carbonation. Finish is slightly bitter.

Backlog, tried both bottled and tap-version a number of times. One of the my favourite IPAs, it’s definitely packing a huge hop-punch without compromising on the malt-aromas.
