This beer, from the discount bin of Christmas beers at Paul’s Grocery in McCall, Idaho pours a hazy amber with a massive white head and great lacing. Nose is powerful and of resin hops and spices. full bodied and rich and sticky mouthfeel. Flavor is rich caramel malts and pine with a perfect blend of spices including ginger. Finish is spices that go on forever. This is a remarkable beer.

A mikkeller so great as always or at least interesting. Both in this case. Hoppy and bitter, full of palate where you ll find the very well accentuated pine needles. The ginger is less noticeable and will appear mainly in the first couple of sips. Finally this beer has a decent CO2, good crispy head and a fine IPA aroma.
