4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Cask P&C, London. It pours a slightly hazy deep golden orange color with nice creamy off-white head. Aroma is hop forward with tropical fruits and peaches over a nice caramely malty backbone. Taste is nicely balanced between the bitter hoppy notes and the sweetness from malt and alcohol. Mango, papaya, violets, grass, caramel, spices, pink peppercorns and a tad of acidity that gives great drinkability to a 10% ABV beer. Mouthfeel is oily with good carbonation. Overall, this would be a nice DIPA in its own merit, but spices and that slight acidity make it unique and amazing.

Wow. Amazing. Perfect looking orange pour with thin white head. Citrus and grapefruit nose. The taste is exactly my wheelhouse IPA. Fruity, big, floral, perfect amount of hops. Up there with my favorites

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Ridgewood Wine & Beer, Raleigh. Deep, potent-looking amber pour, almost with a hint of menace about it. Slightly cloudy, foamy head and sticky lacing. Aroma is initially a tad off-putting with its blend of soapiness and harsh hops. But the strong ale character emerges as the beer settles down and the suffusing bitterness comes to seem more organic. That was more or less the case with the flavors, which were aggressive as hell (an apt name, for sure) but fresh and ripe enough not to seem overdone.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours cloudy copper with a pretty aggressive head and decent lacing. Aroma is floral, citrus, and a little bit of caramel malt. Taste is very bitter but goes down very smoothly. There is no alcohol present in the mix which is stellar for a 10% brew. The palate is full with some stickiness on the finish. This is a very strong DIPA; however, it’s a bit pricey in PA ($7/btl)
