Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of hops, pine, resin, orange, hop-juice, fruit, a hint of malt. Poured amber in color with a small, creamy, dense, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Clear. Not sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is light to medium sweet and heavily bitter. Tastes of hops, pine, resin, grapefruit, and hop oil. Medium body. Oily, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Hop, resin, pine, hop oil finish is heavily bitter and dry. 10%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

Hazy orange with a fizzy white head. Faded quick with lots of lace. Aroma was pine and citrus with notes of sweet caramel. Flavors were citrusy and pine with a big bitter finish throughout the sip. Big bitter. Stayed nicely after each sip with good citrus. Quite good but a bit abrasive at times.

Thanks Sam for sharing. Pours soft straw gold with one finger of offwhite head. Nose is very nice, lots of fresh hop character and citrus. Some pine resin and citrus zest. Grapefruit flesh and citrus zest in the flavor with a slightly resinous character. Medium body and very dry finish, medium lasting bitterness.

Bottle. Hazy orange with a thin white head, but nice lace. Nose is straight up grapefruit upon first sniff, and quite restrained from what I expected. Also some grassy, floral, and herbal notes from the hoppy nose. As it warms, the sweet caramel and toffee slowly creep out along with some mild butter notes. Flavor is a bit messy, some dirty hops, spruce, pine, lots of grapefruit bitterness. 300 IBUs is a lot. Kinda reminds me of some of my first experiences with Stone Ruination. A fun beer but a bit much. Surprise.

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar. This one is a light cloudy copperish body with a bubbly and slowly sidesticking just off-white head. Slightly flowerish and mild hoppy aroma with tones of sweet malts, red apples and candy. Nice. It has a average carbonation level and a near slicky mouthfeel. Tastes dry and hoppy. It has lots of sweetness, but still, quite nicely balanced by what seems to be dried elder hops? Some apply and peachy fruity hints in here as well before it ends in a mild dry finish. Good stuff. 06.01.2011

Clear orange/amber pour with 2 finger head with average lacing. Creamy mouth feel. Floral aroma. Floral, grassy flavor that moves to a lingering bitterness.
