Bottle. Hazy golden, white head. Nice aroma of hop and caremel malt. Full taste of hops and malt, notes of banana, white grape, caramel and citra. Bit of an alcohol afterburn and a warm boozy feeling. Really strong and hoppy.

Bottle from Sonoma Cellar’s discount rack (Mikkeller IPA for $1, impossible to turn down). Pours a hazy orangey copper with an off-white head leaving streaky lace. Aroma has grapefruit and pineapple and caramel with pine. Taste is of tangy pine, heavy resin, grapefruit and sweet pineapple, with a solid caramel backbone. Medium bodied and sticky, with less alcohol than expected for 10%. Finishes more bitter than sweet. Enjoyable! 14.3

33cl bottle. The beer is fine parring with the food. On its own it has a strong rasin and sulfur taste. The hop burn is dissapointing. The beer is average but not bad to the bone. I enjoyed it with a spicy burger and it went great with it.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy orange color, white head. Aroma of mango, papaya, orange, floral hops. Taste starts medium sweet with light bitterness, full of tropical fruit - mango, papaya, orange. But then a hoppy kick comes, full of grapefruit. Nice looong bitter hoppy finish.

Pours slightly hazy, particle-laden pale amber with one finger of loose off-white head quickly diminishing to a thin skim and patchy lacing. Nose is aggressive citrus and tropical fruit, mild caramel malt. Taste is moderate caramel sweet, intensely bitter pine resin ahead of citrus and tropical fruit, building spice. Medium body and slightly oily texture, low sustained carbonation, and a dry, spicy, lingering bitter finish, with an immediate warming in the gut from the high ABV, the high IBUs, or both. Three hundred IBU. I dunno whether it’s called “Hop Burn” because of the heartburn I expect it’ll cause, or because I think it singed my nose hairs at the first sniff. I’m fairly convinced the particulate is pure alpha acids settling out of solution. For all that, it’s very drinkable. I don’t know if it’s my years of abusing my taste buds with spicy food or what, but on the tongue, this isn’t unmanageable at all. It smells scarier than it tastes… but it also burns in the gut like high proof whiskey or spicy peppers. I like it. A lot. As the glass progresses, the subtler flavours become more pronounced, presumably because the biter receptors have given up and shut down. That being said, it lacks a certain subtlety and polish… but then again, so do I. So I like it more.

Opálos, mézszínű főzet, melynek tetején egy örökkévaló habszelet tetszeleg tört fehér színben, illatai pedig morcos, gyantával és mézzel kevert, ananásszal könnyített, zöld növényekkel fűszerezett likőrök karakterét ontja, összességében igen agresszív aromáról van szó. Krémes és csípős, marcipánosan édes és malátás, szikrázó ízjegyek jellemzik, melyek fölé az alkohol kissé behemót karaktere tornyosul, intenzitásában vetekedve a komló ámokfutásával.

Literarly, one of the best beer I’ve tasted! The taste is cytrus with banana flavours, it’s sweet, spicy and bitter at the same second! This IPA drives me mad!
