Bottle sample at a tasting at Stas’s place. Thanks Stas & Vova. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of slightly stale hops, piney and resinous, slightly honey-ish malt and alcohol. Sweet flavor with honey-ish malt, slightly stale resinous hops, alcohol and strong bitterness. Medium-bodied. Too sweet and heavy and not fresh enough.

Smells of malt & honey. Exceptionally sweet for a lager but any drier & the alcohol would probably show it's head. The hops blend well with the sweetness adding piney, woody & herbal notes. I think this beer is trying a little too hard to be extreme & I can't help but feel it would be better if it was toned down an little. Rated by BrewTom

First impression that really stuck with me from this one was, 10%?? No way. I have never tasted a strong beer with such well hidden alcohol note. Aroma is hoppy and malty with definite pilsner tones. Some particles floating around indicating a natural and hopped up beer, looks not so tasty but still i like it. Tastewise my favourite Lager fermented beer, the balance is hard to describe with anything else than flawless. Bottle from Mikkellers webshop.

Buenisima.

Pours cloudy dark gold with a small white top. Aroma is intense pine and floral hops. I’ve said intense before, and I’ve lied or more importantly not knew what intense really quantified. This thing is packed with hop aromas and flavours. Taste is dank, so dank that I was burping hops for hours. My wife wouldn’t come near me. I had to brush my teeth multiple times. In short, it was great. Thanks to Reimer for this.

Aroma: resin, lemon; Appearance: pale orange, hop residues, long tall creamy head; Taste: intense bitterness, medium sweetness, medium sourness; Palate: full body, thick texture, long finish, soft carbonation Refreshing lager with a delicious mouthfeel. Noble not astringent bitterness. Spicy but not appalling. Some blonde hay notes but without excess. For magical moments :-)

"Hmmm. If this is Hop Burn Lo, I wonder what Hi is... My 100th unique brew from my favorite gypsies. This imperial india lager has a crisp bready aroma, with some grapefruit and pine as well. feel is nice and covers up the 10% fairly well. Resiny sweetness in the flavor, with ample bitterness. Nicely done."
