UPDATED: FEB 24, 2013 12 oz pours orange gold little head no lacing. Smells of bubble gum, elderberry, and caramel. Tastes sweet, floral, bittersweet hoppy profile. Nice alcohol content considering its smooth taste.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours amber with a white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is citrusy and resinous hops as well as some caramel malt. Flavour follows the aroma with some warming alcohol and a bitter finish.

330ml bottle. Looks thick in the glass with a deep head and a golden honey amber colour. As expected there is plenty of big floral and citrus hop aromas with passion fruit also in the mix. Thick and oily in the mouth with a great hop flavour. Sits in the mouth and lingers on the palate.

330 mL bottle to flute Aroma of pine, resin, grapefruit, caramel, and papaya. Slightly cloudy amber with a small off white head and good lacing. Taste slams you with a heavy long lasting bitterness with a little acidity. The palate is medium bodied, oily and slick.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy beige color lager with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry and citrusy hops is dominant with dry caramel malt base quite discreet. Taste is also dominated by herbal hops notes with quite dry notes and a medium citrusy finish. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. The description is spot on with hops being the dominant flavour and honestly I could not have known that this was lager if it wasn’t for the label.

(From notes 26 Oct, 2012) Bottle. The label differs greatly from the one RB displays. Anyway, the head is fluffy and off-white in color. The beer is a slightly hazy golden. The aroma is a refreshing fruity hops with candy. Flavor is bitter apricot. Mouthfeel is soft. Finish is an astringent citrus bitter.

Only afterwards did I read the label carefully enough to realize that this is not an imperial IPA. Well, I could not tell the difference. Good, refreshing hoppy beer.

33cl bottle from Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Golden slight haze with thin white head. Pine orange and tangerine aroma and some syrupyness. Good hoppyness good bitterness well balanced and I have to admit I like it a lot. Some toffee. Very decent

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a billowy white head. Seems to last forever. Citrusy spicy aromas and that is about it. Flavours are dominated by resiny hops. Very one dimensional and slightly harsh finish. Medium to thin mouthfeel.

Aroma is citrus hops and bread. The flavor is mildly sweet/nutty malts, citrus and an medium alcohol burn in the finish. It was decent but similar to a lot of strong pale lagers in that the high alcohol dominated the flavor.

On draught @ Sail & Anchor, Fremantle.
Bright copper with a lasting white pad and minimal lace. Solvent, fusel nose with traces of rubber, burnt plastic, pineapple and caramelised citrus - a nice scent for a paint stripper. Alcohol; boozy ethanol, well lagered is my impression of this one. Plastic, hot and chemically polluted. Drenching citrus notes are sadly like sucking on a vitamin C tablet laced with lysergic diethylamide. I couldn’t sit straight after downing it. Oddly bready, substantially heady, dry and wry in its one dimensional approach. Too much of nothing at all had me falling asleep if it weren’t for the burn in my throat. I don’t get it. I nodded off all warm inside and hallucinating!
