Pours translucent orange with a brief, off-white, half-inch head. Aroma is very hoppy and resinous with orange and pine, along with some familiar Mikkeller caramel, and a hint of soap. Flavor is heavy upfront bitterness, pine, a bit of orange. Initial blast of bitterness gives way to some caramel candy sweetness, but still finishes bitter and with some peppery burn in the throat. As it warms (and the palate is desensitized) bittersweet element comes through stronger.

Smell sweet and citursy hop flavor. Looks copper slightly hazy white head. Heavy body very sweet bitter at first. Good hop bittering for the sweetness. The sweetness is overpowering. Try it out. Not a beer for the weak. For sure an imperial

Very surprising beer here. The "burn" is not really over the top for me. It was more of a warming sensation in the aftertaste, like a Cognac. This is definitely a hoppy beer, but not a bitter bomb. The malts do a nice job of balancing some of the power out of the hops but you still get a beautiful piney aroma and taste.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Dull orange pour with a small whitehead which quickly disappears. Nose is orange blossom, grapefruit and zest. Very hoppy with not much malt backing. Taste shows the same orange and floral tones. Loads of grapefruit and bitterness towards the finish. Very bitter and slightly sweet. Solid but one is definitely enough ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is hints of grapes and grapefruit and cereal. Appearance is golden orange reddish brew almost no head. Just a tiny foam ring. Taste is citrus, and spice, doughball, barnyard hay, soft whitebread and floral grass. Palate is left with first spice, then resin, the grass. Overall this beer is great, pleasing to keep sipping, not a crazy hoppy pale ale but does the trick and the hops are definitely there and are fresh. Nice

Clear golden colour with a small white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma. medium pluss body. India pale lager should be a new listening. Wow they are really fresh and nice. Slightly sweet and a fine bitterness. Oily texture. Nice grape hoppy and mild fruity flavour.

bottle from hopduvel @ home pours light , clear orange small white foam smell is hoppy ( unexpected hah? ) hmmm.. taste is very nice. i get now why this is a pils, its very drinkable, but its as hoppy as a IIPA is. mouthfeel? like you have a cloud in your mouth./. love it ! i’m quite more a fan of isolating a good taste, and making it extreme. this is more .. lets get this nice taste and make it drinkable for a larger crowd-kinda thing, withoud being mainstream, weak and such... this is a real recomendation, yet not a new top favourite. dxefinetly something i’d buy again !

maekchu (2836) - Hirakata, JAPAN - DEC 13, 2012
Bottle from Asahiya. Good piney hop aroma with some fruit (stewed apples and peaches). Cloudy honey color. Massive hop attack initial; mid palate sweetens intensely with some hoppiness (not a burn, though) and alcohol warmth; final has punches of sweet fruitiness. Medium body. The intensity of the hops is matched well by the malt. Very good!

Ughsmash (7408) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 3, 2012
Bottled. Poured clear, lighter orange with a short, tight-bubbled white head. The aroma picked up juicy grapefruit, spicy spruce, and orange zest over warm bread and honey notes.. spicy, warm, and well-balanced. The flavor found sweet fruit and bready notes at the core, with resiny orange bitterness, black pepper, and spruce around.. finished very bitter with a final peppery kick and full belly warmth. Medium-plus bodied, bitter, and engaging on the palate.. good feel and flow.. tasty stuff!

Bottled. Pours slightly hazy and pale amber with a medium sized off-white head, that leaves a fair lacing. Nose of caramel and citrus fruits and notes of spices. Sweet flavor that ends up dry and nice bitter. Medium bodied, oily textuere and soft CO2. OK. . ★★★
