Keg at CPK, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a fine, white foam head. Big, jammy orange citrus nose, some tangerine, some ripe citrus. Big sweet flavor, sticky and ripe citrus, orange, melon. Lots of pectin here. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky, resinous finish, lots more juicy citrus, orange, tangerine. Big, sweet, lots of ripe citrus. Would never guess this is a lager. Good one.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Bottle. Hazy orange pour with a spotty white head. Lots of pine resin in this one. Sharp hop bite. Little bit of malt to balance. Quite good.

On tap(@Zubatý pes, Praha-Vršovice):Deep golden to light amber coloured, stable creamy white head, moderate to solid herbal-hoppy and malty-fruity nose; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, full bodied; lingering and drier, but still sweet, hoppy and caramelly finish with a warming alcohol burn in the aftertaste. Moreish stuff of astonishing drinkabílity…

Keg @ Red Squirrel, Edinburgh 031012
Orange amber, bit hazy, bubbly white head, good lacing
Aroma - rich resinous malts, some honey, very resinous
Taste - rich resinous malts, some orange zest malts, soft barley sugar caramel, bitter resinous hop, piney hop, alcohol fairly well hidden, rich sweet malts temper the big hop profile, bit malty though
Palate - medium carb, medium to full body. Oily texture - quite heavy palate. Finish - rich sweet pale malts then the bitterness takes over, long lingering, quite mouth puckering, quite biting hop bitterness
Overall - This was pretty good overall but it was a tad too malty for me

On tap at Mikkeller Bar. A small, off-white head sits patiently on top of a semi-clear, golden body. Citrus, some peaches and a syrupy sweetness in the aroma. The flavor is quite sweet, with citrus peel, pine cones, some faint maltyness and lots of bitterness. Full body, warming and pleasantly carbonated. Bitter finish with alcohol, pine cones and resin notes. A beer that lacks balance, and is too warm, but it’s still a nice one indeed. 120510

Bottle from De Molen shop, Bodegraven, Netherlands, consumed outside Frank (camper) at Camping de Vliert, nr Uterecht Saturday 29th September 2012 Pours lagery gold with a thin white head and middling carbonation. Rather sweet initially and whilst it is hoppy it doesn’t burn at all, however just noticed it is Hop Burn low, I never knew there were two versions, so I guess that us why the hop burn isn’t so bad. Quite thick in mouth, good but not great, thick and a little sryupy in mouth. Btw just noticed that the front label of this states Hop Burn Low whilst the back (ingredients) label states Hop Burn High. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Pours light amber with a small head. Nose shows juicy tropical fruits, grapefruit and floral notes. Also some clean malt and caramel. Flavours include piny notes, alcohol, some soft tropical fruit. Seems a little harsh, especially in the finish. Too much carbonation.

Bottle at home from Tanakaya. Orange blond colour with beige bubbly head. Aroma is grassy hops, strong citrus bitterness, bit of pepper, something floral there too, and maybe something herbal. Quite unusual smell. Can definitely get that hop burn in the background. Taste is lots of fruit. Orange, apricot, something else tropical and then it gets overwhelmed by the bitterness. Some boozy sweetness too. More of a build than a bomb, but in any case, pretty full on. Think this have given me a headache already, but I won’t hold it against the beer. Leaves behind a bit of a prickle in the throat. I like it, but probably couldn’t drink a second straight away.
