From tap side by side with HBH. Pours clearer and golden yellow with a huge white head. Rather clean hops profile in nose compared to HBH. Crisp bitter, light fruity, solid dry and clean. Almost somewhat watery to the HBH - but much cleaner. Ends dry and solid bitter.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Goldeny amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is citrus, some bready and mild toffeeish notes to it. Flavour is fruity, floral, some grassy notes as well as mild caramel and bready maltiness to it. Quite balanced, though the alcohol gives it a slight sweet sting.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap. Pours an almost clear amber with a small off-white head. Intense fruit and peachy hops in the nose - almost herbal. Medium body, sweet and fruity, again almost herbal or medicinal in its bitterness. Distinctly bitter finish that almost scorches you tastebuds. Rough and unrefined, and to be honest I find the hop burn concept rather infantile. 080112

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12th May 2012
Post CBC in the Hotel - ’Oh crap I have bought too many bottles again’! Hazy gold beer, little cream coloured head. Palate is semi soft and semi dry. Mildly grainy pale male - nothing serious. Piney and marmalade hops - fairly orange. Hops are strong enough to dominate the malt. Finish is semi dry - not bad.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen
Tasted 4 days before the Hop Burn High
Hazy golden color. The aroma is fruity, with wonderful and unique traits: litchi, smultron (wild strawberries), light flowers, delicate tones.
The malt and "toffee" flavor are very different than in Double IPAs, more boring indeed, exogenous, with a oily mouthfeel and some fusels; the bitterness is very strong, without being too much, but still burning the tongue; it’s resiny more than fruity.
Very good but won’t be one of my favorite, I find the flavor and final to be a bit vulgar by comparison.
