3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20 Foffern (772) - Bodø, NORWAY - APR 13, 2013
Bottle shared with Veitafan. Pours a cloudy dark amber colour with a light beige and creamy medium head. Malty and sweet aroma of caramel and some vanilla and hops. More hops in the flavour but still very malty with pine and some caramel. Balanced. Has a slick and nice mouth feel, ans a lingering medium bitterness. Well-balanced and nice and surprisingly sweet. A bit one-dimensional.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 mikedR (409) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - APR 4, 2013
Sampled as part of a hop education class. Smooth yet still hoppy. More upfront in hops than Williamette, yet with about the same bitterness. As a beer, more flavorful than W.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 LinusStick (2624) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 19, 2013
Meh..I’m rating a bottle I got last year from a place where it probably sat for a while so I’m taking that into consideration. All things aside, it’s not a bad beer. Tastes like an English barley wine. Aroma was OK. Hints of earth and melted caramel. Pour was a nice medium brown with a one finger off white head. Taste was all malt. Decent caramel backbone is all this beer has left with just a tiny astringent note that was probably deliciously hoppy. Nice strong carbonation stayed with this beer. Bitter thing finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 daje (1378) - NORWAY - MAR 3, 2013
Bottle, october 20th 2012. Hazy pale body, huge white head. Aroma of toffee, grapefruit and grassy hops, with a spicy twist of forest. Good bitterness from this hop, building a good foundation for the caramel and pine taste, which is added by orange. Aftertaste is a bit boring for an ipa with bread and hay dominated taste, still a decent beer.
