This beer is a part of a Single Hop IPA series by Mikkeller. We created this series to showcase hop varieties on their own. This gives the consumer the possibility of smelling and tasting the unique characteristics of each variety and hopefully helping to educate people about the wonderful world of hops. For each beer, the single hop variety was used in the same weight for bittering, aroma and flavor and for dry hopping. All 19 varieties of single hop beers in this series were brewed the same week and with malts from the same batches and the same yeast and fermentation temperatures. This is done to better compare the characteristics of the different hop varieties.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a deep golden with tiny impurities and a huge and frothy white head leaving laces - shame about the tiny impurities in many of these. Dry and very dusty hop aroma, somewhat citrusy. Medium body, smooth fruitiness and then again these very dusty hops. Ends dry but not overly bitter. 040511

Medium carbonation, lovely dry mouthfeel with some creaminess to it. Flavour is very lovely, very hop-forward. Sharp resiny, some mild strawberry notes, grapefruit, citrus and pine. Very dry and very bitter finish. Very lovely.

33 cl bottle at Haket, Göteborg, on April 28, 2011
Shady copper color, fluffy lasting off-white head. Herbal, green, fresh hop, spicy, citrus scent. Herbal, hoppy, dry, bitter taste. Moussy mouthfeel, dry bitterness to the medium high side.
Very nice, though had it been at 4.8% ABV it had been very drinkable too. This hops works well for me.
