COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a part of a Single Hop IPA series by Mikkeller. We created this series to showcase hop varieties on their own. This gives the consumer the possibility of smelling and tasting the unique characteristics of each variety and hopefully helping to educate people about the wonderful world of hops. For each beer, the single hop variety was used in the same weight for bittering, aroma and flavor and for dry hopping. All 19 varieties of single hop beers in this series were brewed the same week and with malts from the same batches and the same yeast and fermentation temperatures. This is done to better compare the characteristics of the different hop varieties.

from Erzbierschof - hazy amber-orange beer under a persistent beige foam; nice lacework; the aroma is fairly spicy with some earthy notes; a good malt backbone, pretty astringent and bitter; long spicy hoppiness, notes of pine needles; very dry

Bottle from Beer Cartel. Murky brown/amber, strong cut grass, earthy/spicy, dusty/woody, strong bitterness, quite resiney, mild floral notes, some malt sweetness, but hop bitterness dominates. Quite good.

On tap at Beer Temple, side-by-side with 4 other single hops. Hazy orange colour, white head. Aroma of some tropical fruits, a bit cloying fruitiness, melon. Flavour is malty, light floral, not very outspoken bitterness or hop-flavour here. Light-bodied.

From tap at Beer Temple. Pours hazy orange with a medium off-white head. Aroma is not very strong, some tropical fruits, raspberry, floral, malts. Taste is also floral, some fruitiness, medium bitter.

Bottle from Johnís Grocery. Hazy dirty orange pour with a huge foamy light beige head. Hops seem to be a little spicy, rye, and some grapefruit. Very nice - I like this one a lot.

light beige head that fades slowly, quite some lacing. hazelnut clear colour. malt, caramel, hop and spicy aroma. caramel sweetness followed countered by a hoppy bitterness, quite long bitter aftertaste. medium carbonation and medium body.bottle 33cl

Bottle. Aroma of nuts, fruit and caramel. Slightly unclear amber colour with huge beige head. Slightly sweet with a bitter and longlasting aftertaste of liquorice.
