Hazy copper color, yellow fizzy head. Fruity and alcohol scent. Sweet, citrus, bitter taste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.

Clear copper color, off-white head. Cheese hoppy scent. Citrus, bitter taste. Medium mouthfeel, high bitterness

33cl bottle from dranken Geers in Oostakker. Amber body with large white head. Nice fruity , malt aroma and medium bitter taste. ***

Bottle. Clear dark golden with a fizzy white head. Caramel grapefruit and pine aroma and taste with a clean citrus finish. Quite good.

33cl Bottle. Blind tasting of all 19 Mikkeller Hop Series beers.
Appearance: amber beer, stable white head.
Nose: citrus.
Taste: quite fruity, citrus in the taste again. Lots of grapefruit.

Bottle - I don’t exactly recall where or when. Pours clear, bright copper-gold with a large, frothy white foam head. Dried citrus in the nose, some toasty biscuits, faint caramel and dirt. Medium sweet flavor with juicy melon, mango, orange, light pine, bubblegum, some dirt and grass. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Quick sticky and resinous to finish, with more melon, lingering grass, light boozy warmth, some further dirt and caramel, toast and bubblegum. One of the better beers I’ve had from this series.

330ml bottle from Warners at the Bay Bottle Shop. Yet another in the line up of great beers from Mikkeller. Strong in the mouth with great flavour and aroma. Big bold and ballsy.

Fra flaske på Humle i Annen mars-13, den åttende av de i alt 19: aroma av tørket frukt og gress (og karamell - fra malten?). En fast og bestemt smak med engelsk bittermarmelade. IBU 114, og her merkes det.

Nose is dried fruit, grass, caramel. Taste is bitter marmelade, maltsweetness, lovely bitterbalance trough the whole taste. (From tasting of all Hop series Cardinal 11. March)

Bottle, september 15th 2012. Hazy dark orange body, medium white lasting head. Spicy citrus and pine aroma with caramel. Hoppy taste of grass and herbs, light fruity, malt sweetness which disappears in the swallow. Good hoppy bitterness, floral and piney aftertaste. A good single hop strain.

Whole Foods, Bowery 33cl ($3): Pours a murky light brown with an off-white head. Aroma is bitter orange peel, earth, and a hint of pine. Taste is quite bitter, with high amounts of astringency and an aftertaste that lingers for a bit. The citrus is uncompromising and sharp. Nothing is really mellow in this beer. I like it good enough though.

Bottled. Orange colour with a creamy white head with perfect duration and nice lacework. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, orange and resins. Flavor is strong bittery with a long duration on palate, notes of resins, orange peel and malty. The final has a strong bitterness invading mouth and nose.
