4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 nearbeer (3048) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 18, 2011
33 cl. Cloudy copper with a lasting half inch of sponge. Aroma of flower pollen, tea leaf, honey, and hints of orange and wood. Flavor is the same great blend plus caramel, toasted nut and slight white pepper. Medium body is softly carbonated and well-balanced. I have always loved Galena hops, and this one is just an awesome tribute.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 davidm (1773) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAR 25, 2013
Bottle from BlackHearts&Sparrows. Very subtle hop, I like it. Aromas of cereal, nuts, light notes of liquorice. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes, and long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.

Heady amber. Grapefruit, grassy. Definite ibu quality. Top 9/19. Galena is a hop I'd like balanced by another.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Countbeer (2852) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 21, 2012
Bottle:
Very vast, thick and slow disappearing, or even changing, white creamy head on top of a hazy/murky dark orange amber colored beer.
Smell hops, hop flowers, hop fruit, citrus, peach and apricot and some very light tints of orange, tangerine and lemon/lime. A nice creamy malts touch in the back, but overall a lovely balanced hop character in every hoppy way.
Taste nice hoppy fruits (citrus, apricot, blood ranges) and bitter (hops, grapefruit and blood oranges) wherein the bitterness (floral hop) keeps growing. A fine creamy smooth mix of (earthy) hoppy ingredients (and a hint of creamy malts) not bold at all but well balanced and it grows and ends more bitter. Lovely.
Aftertaste is hop bitters with floral hop and grass tints and bitter fruit like grapefruit and blood oranges.
Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium body with a slight fuller tint and a full creamy texture.
Lovely beer. One of those beers you could drink all evening. Guess, this one fresh would kill...
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 trapez (1443) - Hilleroed, DENMARK - FEB 23, 2013
Bottle. Aroma of wood, dry leaves and liquorice. Slightly unclear amber colour with beige head. Very, very dry and bitter with lots of grapefruit which also adds a glimpse of citrus. One of these IPAs is enough, but a very powerful Galena hop.

25th June 2011 Hazy deep red - brown beer. Pale cream coloured head. Soft palate. Creamy malt. Love this hop! Passion fruit with a touch of lemon. A little tropical fruits in the background. Mild minerals in the semi dry finish.

33cl bottle, horizontal with Magnum, Bravo, Citra and Columbus. Medium off-white head, nice lacing, atop hazy amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange, grassy/spicy, some bread. Taste is moderately sweet, orange/grapefruit, some bread. Medium body, very drinkable.

330mL bottle generously sent across the pond by stobbe74. The bottle pours copper with gold edges and a bit hazy when the yeasty sediment is involved. The hop laden liquid supports a near white sort of head. The aroma is moderate in strength with spicy and earthy hops and really little else going on. The taste is about the same with a modest amount of spicy hops that are pretty nice and on the rich chewy side. Around the spiciness I get faint earthiness. This is pretty much nothing but pure spicy hops and I’m just fine with that.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 jmohno (831) - Iowa, USA - NOV 27, 2011
#3 for me, hop series bottle to piraat tulip. Reddish orange clear but yeasties.Thin creamy head layer with residual ring and some lacing.
Aroma has that typical pastry sweet malt but getting more aroma character from the galena hops, there is a nice floral/fruit and some spice getting some grape notes too.
The hop flavor in this seems really nice, its pretty spicy/hoppy tasting some herbal / grassy too and then the candied carmel breadyness probably from the malt base. this hop seems to work better against all of the carmel malty sweetness than like the willamette and mt.hood which i tried last. This seems more hop "balanced".Im definatly a galena hop fan now.
