from Erzbierschof - slightly amber-orange beer with a modest head retention; hoppy notes of plastic and grapefruit; a good malt backbone, light astringency, herbal and spicy bitterness; quite dry with more plastic reminiscence - not convincing

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Beer Cartel. Hazy amber, strong caramel aroma, some pine, citrus peel, a bit spicy. Bitterness characteristics of the hops dominate over flavour and aroma. Ok, but not my favourite single hop from Mikkeller.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
pale beige head that disappears rather quickly with some good lacing. amber coloured clear beer. some caramel, herbal and spicy notes that resembles liquor like cognac or rhum, some vanilla, oak/wood .. difficult to find words to describe this aroma. taste is similar to the smell with a light sweetness followed by a nice bitterness that lasts a long time. very well balanced, nice one! (bottle 33cl / notes from backlog)
