COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a part of a Single Hop IPA series by Mikkeller. We created this series to showcase hop varieties on their own. This gives the consumer the possibility of smelling and tasting the unique characteristics of each variety and hopefully helping to educate people about the wonderful world of hops. For each beer, the single hop variety was used in the same weight for bittering, aroma and flavor and for dry hopping. All 19 varieties of single hop beers in this series were brewed the same week and with malts from the same batches and the same yeast and fermentation temperatures. This is done to better compare the characteristics of the different hop varieties.

Bottled@Cask Pub & Kitchen, London. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is grass, grains, fruits, hay, caramel and some mild sweet notes. Flavour is bready and sweet malts along with some grass, grains, hay and mild fruity notes. Quite dull.

Pours a nice, frothy light caramel-colored head, color is a hazy amber; aroma is strong and of caramel; medium sweetness, medium bitterness; medium body. Overall, I quite enjoyed this IPA style beer, especially as it was a bit heavier on the malts than other IPAs I have had.

Bar great harry, Brooklyn tap: pours reddish brown with an off white head. Aroma is herbal, earthy, and sugary. This is not bitter. This tastes old. But it from keg... Maybe it left over from many year ago. I not know. Me not enjoy. This is drinkable but not exciting.

Draft. This is a nice surprise in the single hop series, bright and herbal, cutting bitterness, clean profile.

I have had many an IPA. For single hop type varieties, unless youíre doing a horizontal, itís difficult for me to taste differences among different types of hops. As an IPA, tho, this is good. A wee bit on the resiny side.

Bottle 0,33L. Have this one half year ago... Itís cloudy, medium amber colour with a lot of floating particles and creamy, light brown head. Aroma of nutts, butter, vanilla, peach, honey. It looks like weird combination, but believe me, it rocks! Taste is light bitter with mix of orange and peach. Finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. This beerís taste is dangerously close to barley wine. Mikkeller rules!

As goes for all the Hop Series beers Iíve tasted: the bottles were probably quite old, best before of April/May 2015, so some of the hop characteristics might have already gone away. Nice orange color with big head (darkness varied a bit). Mt Hood was a bit boring, not much hop aroma left. A bit earthy bitterness, maybe roses. Similar in the taste.

one of the more mellow beers from the 2ns release. not boring, but really didnít stand out from the crowd either. more like an apa than an ipa, but still pleasant enough."

Pours a cloudy amber color with a lively pour and a thick frothy white head. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grainy malt, herbal hops and fruit. Medium body with flavors of fruity hops, grainy malt and mild spice. The finish is moderately bitter with a short herbal hops aftertaste. I assume this bottle is older despite being bought recently, but it is tough to blame the store and not the brewer for not providing dating. Decent overall.

Bottle from Dranken Geers. Amber colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. Fruity taste with malty character and some caramel. Light hoppy bitter aftertaste. This beer was maybe a bit too old.

330ml bottle from BrwDog Online. Muddy reddish amber brown, not much head. Grain hop aroma. Dry resin flavour. Bitter aftertaste. Weak hop.
