3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 ml @ Yngwies, all 19 varieties of single hop beers tasted at the same day in September 2011. Slightly unclear, deep golden body with a dense off-white head. Quite mild aroma dominated by grass. Nice moderate bitter flavor on a soft caramel malt base. OK and quite quaffable without anything special going on.

I was looking forward to Trying Mikkeler, since it gets so many praises of being good and innovative brewer. I was excited to find It’s Hop Series at a reasonable price. Unfortunately my anticipation and excitement was not matched by high standards that everyone praises Mikkeller to live by. Everyone in supply chain is to blame… Mikkeller does not have production dates, Distributor Trying to sell the product no matter what, Binny’s not having balls to stand up to its supplier and let them know that it is out of date and no good. I was pissed… All of them were old and stale, therefore complete waste of time and money. Every time I come across bad batch I swear to stop buying anything that has no dates… I just might do that, since there are plenty of other choices… Going Back to Mikkeller Hop Series… All of them Poured A Shade Lighter Or A Shade Darker of Muddy Brown. All of them Had Smaller or Larger Floaters. Huge Head, Decent Lacing. Earthy, Stale Hops Aroma. Tasted pretty much the same: Earthy, Malt, Stale Hops. Moderate Bitter Finish… Pass It Unless You Know It Is Fresh…

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from John’s Grocery in Iowa City. Murky deep orange pour with a big pillowy head. I rather enjoy this hop variety - mild grapefruit and wood. Hits a good spot for me.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Vino Wines. Murky amber body with a thin white head. Light lacing. Aroma of grapefruit and orange sherbert. Flavour of candy, wood, honey and lemon flavoured Lockets. Sweet malt wins - just - over the sharp hops. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation. On this evidence, Mount Hood is a sharp, woody hop.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 ml bottle.
Pours a dark amber colour with a small white lacy head. Aroma of fresh herbs, mint and heavy caramel. Flavour of caramel, fresh herbs, some berries, grassy bitterness, citrus and some citrus. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and rough-ish carbonation. Finishes herbal, chewy and grassy. Interesting.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
33 cl bottle 6.8% abv. Aroma with grapefruit notes and cooked vegetable. Little bitternes in the taste (33 ibu) probably the lowest in the series. Not bad though but not really interesting.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Brown amber bodied, small head. Not very hoppy. Old? Pine and resin, moderate. Dusty malt base, simple. Bitterness is light, simple. (33cl bottle from Dranken Geers)

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy orange/copper pour. Aromas of some biscuit notes with citrus hops. A bit strange. Flavor is similar. The biscuit character conflicts with the citrus hoppy notes.
