COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a part of a Single Hop IPA series by Mikkeller. We created this series to showcase hop varieties on their own. This gives the consumer the possibility of smelling and tasting the unique characteristics of each variety and hopefully helping to educate people about the wonderful world of hops. For each beer, the single hop variety was used in the same weight for bittering, aroma and flavor and for dry hopping. All 19 varieties of single hop beers in this series were brewed the same week and with malts from the same batches and the same yeast and fermentation temperatures. This is done to better compare the characteristics of the different hop varieties.

On tap at Rattle N Hum during their Mikkeller single hop series event. All of them pour pretty much the same, ruby tinged amber with medium to thick beige heads, depending on the pour. The malt profile on them is all fairly consistent as well, tending to be a bit too sweet for my tastes, often masking some of the more delicate hops. Aromas are herbal and malty. Innocuous and somewhat empty, malt and toast. Light citrus, toast and malt on the finish.

Una altre petita decepció de les Single Hop Series de Mikkeller. No totes poden ser genials. Però supera moltes altres IPA’s que per desgràcia he provat.

Draft at RnH with the whole family during the Mikkeller Hop Tap Takeover Event. Pours a deep amber body. Aroma is fruity. Mouthfeel is spicy with notes of pine hop, citrus fruit, and some undertones of sweet bread. Solid IPA.

Bottle from Wine and Cheese Place shared among a group of five locals. Pours a clear orange-copper color with a small off-white head that leaves a bit of lace- all 19 looked like this. Notes of grassy, piney hops, tea, what came across as a few different malts, cereal, and wood chips. Seemed to have more complexity than others in the series but nothing emerged strongly from the flavor. Just too light all around.

bottle... pours a really dark orange, great nice tope head, great retention and lacing, looks great... nice aroma, awesome sweet notes of pineapple with a bit of grassy hops, a bit of molasses, this is great... the taste is pretty decent, but loses a lot of the sweet/fruit notes on the nose, mostly the hops on the taste, still pretty successful
