2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Keg in Brewdog Leeds. Deep amber colour, tiny white foam. Very sweet and sticky malt, then very oily tasting hop flavour. I quite like Saaz but this was just a bit hard work and cloying really.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml bottle.
Pours a dark hazy amber colour with a large frothy head. Aroma of herbs, caramel and rather strong herbal notes. Flavour is very bitter with strong herbal hops, caramel, pine and some citrusy tanginess. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a lingering bitter, slightly warming finish. Strong herbal IPA.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at Delirium. Orange-brown with a fine head. Huge lemon nose, some yogurt and acid, smells somewhat off. Sweet, lemony flavor, grass, citrus hop. Nice bitterness. Very tangy lemon, possibly an infection, though it seems to be, or at least blend with, the saaz flavors.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy copper pour with a small white head. Aromas of spicy grassy hops and citrus peel. Flavor is similar with lots of floral and citrus hop notes. Candied grapefruit and orange peel in the finish. Well done.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Keg, BrewDog Brum, 07/09/13. Muddy, fully opaque red amber collared thickly. When did Mikkeller sell out and become so peachy and malt sodden? All floral and perfumed sponge-like sweetness. Hops utterly murdered by sweetness. Iced tea and medicine. Chipshop batter greasy sweetness. Improves with warming. But generally...no.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I always expect a good IPA from Mikkeller and this is no exception. Itís a challenge to produce something exciting from these relatively mild noble hops. But the spiciness comes through - I get cinnamon and vanilla - and itís smooth, heavy and a little sweet.
