3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle. Pours a murky chestnut brown, with a large off-white head, which lasts reasonably well, and leaves decent lacing. Spicy, peppery and slightly floral hops notes mix with some caramel and toast malt notes in the aroma. Strongly spicy hops up front, with a bit of peppery bite, lead into some toast and caramel in the mid-palate. More spicy hops give the beer a nice, dry finish. This is quite an interesting beer. Since first trying a single hop IPA I have wanted to try one made with Saaz hops, and this is much what I would have expected: the hops profile of a pilsener, amped up and backed by a bit more body. Itís unusual, but it works pretty well.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
As goes for all the Hop Series beers Iíve tasted: the bottles were probably quite old, best before of April/May 2015, so some of the hop characteristics might have already gone away. Nice orange color with big head (darkness varied a bit). Saaz was earthy, floral and bready. Taste is sweet-bready, nice bitterness. Lots of malts, Lager-style, but easy to drink.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
"Interesting addition to their hop series. Saaz hops are great in a pilsner, not quite enough for a beer with this much body or malty backbone. Nice in the aroma but no follow through Iím flavor or feel..."

Mikkeller Saaz pours a cloudy hazel brownish orange with a thick foamy beige head that lasts for a long while. The aroma is floral, caramel and bread. The flavor is bread, caramel and floral. Overall this is a pretty nice brew.

Botella de 33 cl tomada en casa, de 2d2dspuma en mayo de 2013. Bastante buena y para repetir sin problema, como todas las de la serie. Tonos especiados y terrosos con amargor final contenido. Muy buena.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Vino Wines. Murky amber/brown body with a medium off-white head. Excellent lacing. Aroma of grass, fresh herbs and leafy greens. Flavour is a bit imbalanced - such a clean, green hop against the sweet malt just doesnít work. Itís not offensive exactly, but this hop just isnít suited to the style. Nice bitterness. Medium body with an oily texture. Average carbonation. One of the weaker efforts of this hop series.
