3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
14/IX/13 - on tap @ Hoppy Loft (Delirium café, Brussels) - BB: n/a (2013-851) Thanks to KyotoLefty for sharing the beer!
Clear deep orange to red beer, creamy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: fruity, exotic fruits mainly, sweet, spicy, bit sugary impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet, malty, jam, red forest fruits, citrus, sweet, pretty bitter and spicy. Aftertaste: fruity, dry, piny hops, honey, sweet and fruity, red fruit jam. Weird and interesting, I liked it.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at Hoppy Loft. Light brown, cloudy, with lace. Spicy nose, grass and chocolate, but a bit faint. Spicy orange flavor, speculoos, strawberry jam, caramel, sweet and cake-like. A weird IPA. Interesting.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sampled draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft during Zwanze Day shenanigans. Appearance is hazy, murky fox orange, slightly off-white head. Smell is big grapefruit, very hoppy, very fruity, touch caramel, small touch of pine. Taste is pretty bitter, slight caramel malts, grapefruit, slight overripe peaches, some bitter herbs in the back, pretty fruity, faint herbs. Full, very slightly yeasty body. Pretty nice, def. neater than the single hop / hop series Mikkeller’s I had a long time ago. (Thx! for sharing people!)

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl bottle.
Pours murky orange color with a huge frothy head. Aroma is quite straightforward with caramel malts, hops and fruits. Resinous hops on the flavor, sweet caramel, malts and sweet fruits, some biscuit notes make this feels a bit stuffy. Somewhat bitter palate. Not the best of these single hops.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Beer Cartel. Murky dark orange/red, strong pineapple and tropical fruit characters, slight yeasty notes, slightly grainy, caramel malt, quite bitter but well balanced. Different, but very good.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a very unique, opaque mahogany with a huge 3 finger, off white head that lingers around. Not much lacing and almost no carbonation. The nose is very hoppy with a surprisingly high amount of yeast and malt. Tropical fruits are very much present here with a slight touch of caramel. The mouth is very bitter, but not an overpowering bitter. The hops in this series are definitely citrus hops. A lot of grapefruit and lemon. There is a malt presence, but it’s subtle. Not a huge beer, but a slow sipper none the less. After this beer warmed up, it took on a lot of barleywine characteristics. Very malty and yeasty with a lot of dark fruits.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Independent Ale House. Aromas of sweet Malta, tropical fruit including pineapple, and little bit of bread and caramel. Flavors of strong hop bitterness, sweet bready malts, tropical fruit, and caramel. Now that I am homebrewing I find these beers more interesting, but would not say this OA great stand alone IPA. Might be an interesting hop for a barley wine.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle.
Pours a deep amber colour with a large frothy white head. Aroma is rather strong and pungent with notes of grapefruit, peach and some wet grass. Flavour is full-on bitter with floral hops, grapefruit, peach, pine and strong pineapple sweetness. Medium bodied, thick mouthfeel and a long, fruity, lingering bitter and dry finish. Much stronger than the normal Galena and has a lot more character, although this seems to be a fresh bottle. The normal Galena one wasn’t as fresh.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Yes! Big pineapple beer. Having this on the back of a disappointing lager! The aroma hits the nose right after cracking the top. Big deep fruit hit. Muddy gold pour with big foaming head that fades slow like. Massive pineapple on the nose, as well as a healthy dose of funk. A little frothy in the mouth though. Damn shame as it’s nectar.
