3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle. Pours a hazy medium amber, with lots of floating sediment and a smallish off-white head, which fades fairly rapidly and does not leave much lacing. Fruity, floral and spicy hops aromas sit very nicely over a base of caramel malt. Pleasant spicy and peppery hops up front lead through a more fruity flavour to a firm caramel malt body. The finish is a nice mix of floral and spicy hops. This is a nice IPA - it turns out Tettnanger makes for a good IPA, much like a German-style pilsener but amped-up and backed by a bit more body.

Okay so this bottle is 6 months íout of dateí but... Decent spicy/herbal/raisin aroma waft - good head on it - strong caramel malt forward taste then the spicy/herbal/raisin tettnanger kicks in - good bitterness balances out the initial hit of very sweet malt - so itís still pretty alive and vibrant enough to enjoy... although tettnanger isnít high on my list as I prefer more citrus/tropical fruit driven hops and less heavy malt.

330ml bottle from Thistle News, Aberdeen. Hazy reddish amber brown, reasonable head. Grain resin hop aroma. Boiled sweet flavour and aftertaste. Interesting hop but not one of the best.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Cornelius. Murky amber body with yeast flecks floating around. Thick off-white head that holds well. Excellent lacing. Aroma of herbs, flowers and dried apricot. Flavour of lemony sorrel and dried fruit. Strong bitterness. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. I think this hop would work better in darker beers, with itís dried fruit characteristic.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle. Deep amber with one finger head. Iíve had quite a few of this series at this point. Theyíre obviously all very similar other than the hops. Iím quite unfamiliar with Tettnanger. This is particularly sweet with very mild bitterness. Thereís a subtle pepperiness also.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
From notes. Clear, with an orange color and a tan head. Caramel, honey, hints of fruits like grapes and apple, some hay in the aroma. Medium dense with well matching carbonation. Bitter, slightly sour finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottiglia 33cl @ 28 erbe.
Ambrata con schiuma persistente.
Piuttosto amara e dall'aroma un po' stucchevole.
Single hop non troppo riuscita.
