This beer is a part of a Single Hop IPA series by Mikkeller. We created this series to showcase hop varieties on their own. This gives the consumer the possibility of smelling and tasting the unique characteristics of each variety and hopefully helping to educate people about the wonderful world of hops. For each beer, the single hop variety was used in the same weight for bittering, aroma and flavor and for dry hopping. All 19 varieties of single hop beers in this series were brewed the same week and with malts from the same batches and the same yeast and fermentation temperatures. This is done to better compare the characteristics of the different hop varieties.

This one is probably the harshest of the single hop IPAs from Mikkeller. Copper pour, aromas of earthy, pine hops and some floral hops as well. Flavor is sticky resinous pine and earthy hops. Bitter finish. Not as well balanced as the others but not a bad beer.

Draught at Delirium Brussels. Deep, cloudy orange with a fine, high head. Hoppy nsoe, grass, peaches, orange, earth. A bit dirty. Sweet malt in the back. Very fruity flavor, orange, peach, earth, hay, bread. Sweet and jammy. Rich body. This hop is a bit bland, not my favorite.

0,33 bottle, Brewdog Online Store.
Poured opalescent amber with a medium creamy tan head. Moderated aroma of tropical fruits, bublegum, fig and grass, pine. Flavor opens with malts, after some slips the fruity yeasts arrive. The bitterness level is lower than expected with pine and grass.

Bottle from Vino Wines. Muddy orange with large open structured off-white head. Loads of funk on the nose, some malt, ripe pineapple. Dryish palate but full mouthfeel. Dry funky end. Something slightly cloying all said, but a heady delight.
