COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a part of a Single Hop IPA series by Mikkeller. We created this series to showcase hop varieties on their own. This gives the consumer the possibility of smelling and tasting the unique characteristics of each variety and hopefully helping to educate people about the wonderful world of hops. For each beer, the single hop variety was used in the same weight for bittering, aroma and flavor and for dry hopping. All 19 varieties of single hop beers in this series were brewed the same week and with malts from the same batches and the same yeast and fermentation temperatures. This is done to better compare the characteristics of the different hop varieties.

Dark gold. Peach aroma. Sweet fruit, over-ripe oragnes. Dryness in the finish, but the sugar also lingers. Full flavour, but this is a hop to use in moderation.

33cl Bottle. Blind tasting of all 19 Mikkeller Hop Series beers. Appearance: amber beer, stable white head. Nose: quite bitter, little fruit noticeable. Taste: less hoppy, rather dry, though one off the lesser from the Series.

Sampled as part of a hop education class. Very mild hop flavor, with mild bitterness. The beer itself has a nice malt backbone. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Aroma of nuts, caramel and hay. Slightly unclear golden brown colour with beige head. Biitersweet flavour according to aroma with some melon and a long lasting dry and pleasant finish. Some liquorice in the aftertaste.

Fra flaske på Humle i annen, den andre av de i alt nitten vi prøvde: vanilje og karamell i aroma. Forholdsvis lite smak og ettersmak, men det kommer seg når temperaturen i glasset steg litt. Dog ingen højdare. IBU 35.

Bottle, january 12th 2013. Hazy amber body, creamy offwhite head. Hoppy aroma, fresh fruits, together with caramel and hay. Taste of bread, caramel, pine and peach. Low bitterness, sweet malty finish with a subtle fruit taste.

11.2oz bottle. Murky, floaty filled amber-orange body. Steady beige head. Sandy, woody, oceanside citrus bitterness in the aroma. Holds up OK, but once again the body really detracts from the experience, the yeasty thick malt tones dominate and overwhelm the hops. Ends up feeling a little oily, resinous..not in a good way. Not really an enjoyable beer, especially for the price.

Pours cloudy tan with minimal head. Smells of grass with hints of metallic notes. A bit of caramel as well. The tase is bitter with soft carbonation and finishes weakly and a bit oily. Not too complex considering the single variety present.

Bottled. Cloudy orange colour with a creamy white head with good duration. Aroma has floral hops notes, fruity hints. Flavor is malty, caramelish, light bready, slightly bittery and spicy hints. Floral final with a mild bitterness.

ansermadide (1197) - Kyle, Texas, USA - FEB 1, 2013
Showcasing the Willamette variety, this beer has a cloudy, murky appearance with a bright orange color and a cream-colored head. Its aroma is spicy, gently subduing caramel malts. The flavor is spicy and fruity as well, clean and light on the palate. The finish is slightly on the bitter side of the tracks, taking the stage over the grain and crystal characteristics with herbal graininess.
