4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured into a pint glass. Big, lemongrass aromas with some sweet citrus. Itís a golden-amber color, but itís a lot more cloudy than Iíd expect from an IPA. Itís got a frothy, white head that doesnít go anywhere. This beer has some really great balance for an IPA. Itís pleasantly sweet on the front end with a nice hop backbone that reminds you that itís definitely an IPA. This is my first Mikkeller beer, and Iíll be coming back for more!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Single bottle purchased from Ardmore Bottle Shop. Aroma is similar to Chouffe Houblon, albeit a little more tame. "german" style presumably comes from the pale malt and hop varietals used. Appearance is a little hazier than your typical" Belgian", but still golden with minimal head (think Flying Fish Exit 4 American Trippel). Notes of grass, hay, lemon zest, earthy hops and perceptible yeast. Really interesting beer. Doesnít really fall into the IPA category in my opinion. Definitely a dry beer with a crisp, almost spicy character. A gender bender for sure. Nice work from a brewery that doesnít care much for conventional norms (at least with their beer!).

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance was orange gold with cloudy lasting beige 3 finger head, rings of lacing. Aromas are bready yeasts, noble spicey hops, wheat, grain bill, sweet malt, no alcohol. Taste are soft lemon, orange and all spice, yeasts are bready, slight sweet pale malts, no alcohol. Palate was soft smooth creamy CO2 with medium body, lasting citrusy smooth funky finish. Strange mineral citrusy wonder.

Draft at The Birch. Amber pour with a short foamy white head. Aroma is hoppy with citrus notes, floral notes and sweet malt. Taste is citrus and floral hops, sweet malt, doughy bread and soft grains. Body is medium with a moderate, dense, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more fruit notes, floral hops, toasted grains, sweet malt and bready notes.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Vika enjoyed at home
Copper hazy, big beige head. Smells of peach, spice, green grass, yeast and malts. Moderate sweet, some fruityness and spice. Heavy bitter, resins and some grass. Strange beer, the hop combo is not working for me. Itís a bit too green, with green leaves and grass accompanied by the tomahawk resins.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A pretty standard IPA from start to finish. A nice hop aroma, a decent hop bite and aftertaste. Nothing really incredible here, but certainly good and easy to drink.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a cloudy golden/orange colour small lasting white head and big sticky white lace up the glass. Aroma is perfume-like, mild citrus and sweet malts. Flavour is spicy phenols from the yeast, resin, and mild bitterness mixed with some malty sweetness.
