2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hoppy Easter has some interesting flavor elements but ultimately comes across some what abrasive. Pours hazy maize with a head made of many different size bubbles. Spearmint, grapefruit and strawberry overtones are detectable in the aroma. An unusual malt bill and yeast adds a spicy character. Ends somewhat sloppily with a long bitter whack and some mintiness.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
a unique beer, but once that novelty wore off, it was kind of a miss. grassy lemony aroma, with bavarian yeast? in the aroma. what’s a german ipa anyway? look is light...kinda like a hefe. feel light too. flavor is nice, but pretty weak for an ipa. a little bitter in the finish. more lemon than anything else. probably won’t try again."

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I might be a little late on this, but hey, this was from April 29, 2014. Sorry for not uploading this sooner.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a decent hazy orange/glossy brown color with a one finger white foamy head. The lacing was spotty and coating the glass kinda in a messy sort of way.
The smell had some lemongrass, lemon and sweet citrus.
The taste was there through a sweet and grassy flavoring.
On the palate, this one sat fairly light and sessionable. The carbonation was slightly there, I think I was hoping for more harshness, but hey honestly, I’m not gonna argue.
Overall, for the most part this was a good AIPA that I could have again.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a golden copper with a frothy white head and tons of lace. Aroma of bit citrus hops, grapefruit, lemongrass, pine, resin and a good balanced of sweet pale caramel malts to support. Taste is big and hoppy lemon hops, grassy, piney and citrusy with caramel malt flavors to balance. Excellent easy drinking ipa.

Grapefruit accent, but a heavier feel than I am normally used to. Not a go to.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Five Points Bottle Shop (Atl Hwy). Light floral, fruity nose. Medium straw color with a fluffy white head. Mild peachy initial, with some other rougher fruit creeping in / mild bittering in mid / thin bitterness and then a pleasant, mostly sweet, sort of balance in finish. Medium body. Tasty. An interesting hybrid style.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at home. Pours cloudy golden. Aroma is quite odd. Some skunk, sourness, grass, malts and citrus fruits. Taste is light sour and medium bitter. Medium body with soft carbonation. Maybe slightly infected. Or simply not very good. It’s mikkeller so you never know I guess.
