3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Knightly Spirits in Orlando. Orange pour with a thin white head. Pleasant balanced aroma of lemon, biscuit, hay and spice. Taste is on the maltier side up front - caramel, bread, more hay - then spiced and earthy hops - then lemon and more hay through the slightly tinny dry finish. Works better than it sounds, but wouldnít need it again at the price.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I might be a little late on this, but hey, this was from April 29, 2014. Sorry for not uploading this sooner.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a decent hazy orange/glossy brown color with a one finger white foamy head. The lacing was spotty and coating the glass kinda in a messy sort of way.
The smell had some lemongrass, lemon and sweet citrus.
The taste was there through a sweet and grassy flavoring.
On the palate, this one sat fairly light and sessionable. The carbonation was slightly there, I think I was hoping for more harshness, but hey honestly, Iím not gonna argue.
Overall, for the most part this was a good AIPA that I could have again.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a golden copper with a frothy white head and tons of lace. Aroma of bit citrus hops, grapefruit, lemongrass, pine, resin and a good balanced of sweet pale caramel malts to support. Taste is big and hoppy lemon hops, grassy, piney and citrusy with caramel malt flavors to balance. Excellent easy drinking ipa.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Grapefruit accent, but a heavier feel than I am normally used to. Not a go to.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Smells like lemon pledge. Very murky pale yellow body. Some yeast chunks floating. Very lemony taste. Bitter beer. Not really that good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Five Points Bottle Shop (Atl Hwy). Light floral, fruity nose. Medium straw color with a fluffy white head. Mild peachy initial, with some other rougher fruit creeping in / mild bittering in mid / thin bitterness and then a pleasant, mostly sweet, sort of balance in finish. Medium body. Tasty. An interesting hybrid style.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at home. Pours cloudy golden. Aroma is quite odd. Some skunk, sourness, grass, malts and citrus fruits. Taste is light sour and medium bitter. Medium body with soft carbonation. Maybe slightly infected. Or simply not very good. Itís mikkeller so you never know I guess.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured into a pint glass. Big, lemongrass aromas with some sweet citrus. Itís a golden-amber color, but itís a lot more cloudy than Iíd expect from an IPA. Itís got a frothy, white head that doesnít go anywhere. This beer has some really great balance for an IPA. Itís pleasantly sweet on the front end with a nice hop backbone that reminds you that itís definitely an IPA. This is my first Mikkeller beer, and Iíll be coming back for more!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Single bottle purchased from Ardmore Bottle Shop. Aroma is similar to Chouffe Houblon, albeit a little more tame. "german" style presumably comes from the pale malt and hop varietals used. Appearance is a little hazier than your typical" Belgian", but still golden with minimal head (think Flying Fish Exit 4 American Trippel). Notes of grass, hay, lemon zest, earthy hops and perceptible yeast. Really interesting beer. Doesnít really fall into the IPA category in my opinion. Definitely a dry beer with a crisp, almost spicy character. A gender bender for sure. Nice work from a brewery that doesnít care much for conventional norms (at least with their beer!).
