Cloudy orange amber. Nose is big citrous fruit, grapefruit but also some red cranberry fruit and a touch of red berry sour. Fruity and enticing! Taste is bitter hop citrous grapefruit and some red berry sour. It’s more raspberry in the flavour. Touch of black pepper in the finish. Basically a strong hoppy IPA packing a fair amount of IBUs. In fact, now I’m working my way through it the IBUs are too high. it’s getting hard to finish this.

Bottle @ Jews, brews, bbqs. Luminescent yellow, hazed. Aroma is a bit pine needly, with more subtlety than expected. Smells pretty nice except for the blast of grain alcohol at the end. Soft palate. The ginger comes put more in the flavors, with lots of bark. Comes across as being a little dirty tasting but also nice herbal notes like ginseng and other bittersweet astringent roots. But the ginger is so restrained and in nice proportion that ultimately it is a successful brew. Not bad at all, and the strength makes sense when considered in context of it being a Christmas holiday beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle… Hazy yellow ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The nose furnishes fruity apricot and grapefruit flanked by pine and whispers of ginger and leather. Medium-bodied with zippy carbonation. The flavor is fruity and moderately bitter – pine and grapefruit. Lengthy, apricoty, earthy finish.

Bottle - 750mL crowned. Pours golden amber with a tall, thick, frothy blond head. Aroma is strong grapefruit, pine, sweet malt, hop resins and light ginger. Taste is big pine and grapefruit with a pleasant malty backbone, chewy caramel, soft ginger, hop resins, floral hop notes and soft spicy hops. Body is medium-full with a moderate, creamy carbonation. Finishes with more pine, citrus oils, floral hops, caramel notes, spicy hops, soft ginger and light pineapple. Damn tasty!

Capped 750 from The Davis Beer Shoppe in Davis, CA. Pours hazy golden amber with a 4 finger foamy/creamy white head that has staying power. The aroma is nostril clearing - resin and spice (might be ginger). Full bodied. Very. Flavor is caramel with resin and I think ginger. It’s got hot spice anyway. This is a massive brew flavorwise. My mouth probably no longer has anything left to oxidize. Frickin brilliant ale. BRILLIANT!!!!!
