A pretty solid high alcohol IPA. Pours out a bland golden straw with a finger off beige head. Very boring appearance over all. A sweet and almost luscious fruity hop nose with light spiced and floral aroma notes. A beautiful luscious and sweet floral hop bomb. A bit too spicy but has a big hop on the finish. Overall, a fantastic IPA with an unbalanced hop throughout. Really good!

330ml bottle (Happy, 2011) from Bieresgourmet, 330ml bottle (Hoppy, 2012) from Alko.

Happy, BBE 30/08/13 - Pours yellowish orange with a small foamy head. Aroma of stingy fruits, hints of spices, malts and some funky notes. Taste is spicy and malty with some fruity hops, hints of pine and ginger. Finish is spicy and slightly bitter with some fruity notes. 7-3-8-3-14 = 3.5

Hoppy, BBE 06/03/14 - Pours slightly darker orange with a large foamy head. Aroma of fresh citrusy and fruity hops, hints of pine, grass, spices, malts and soapy notes. Taste is dominated by tropical fruity hops, hints of spices and citrus. Finish is bitter and hoppy with some tropical fruits and citrus, some mild spicy notes as well. 8-4-8-4-15 = 3.8

Overall I like the 2012 version more, but the 2011 is also pretty good.

Fantastic IPA. Some sour notes in the nose, loads of citrus, herbs. Loads of hoppy bitterness in the finish. One of the more solid IPA´s from Mikkeller

Tap @ John Bull, provided by ma mommy;) Pour hazy dark yellow, with a small white head. Aroma of pine, apricot, grapefruit, hop-juice. Slight Christmas spices in this one. The taste is slightly sweet upfront, with a rather bitter aftertaste. Medium bodied, with a slightly fizzy carb.

Tämä iloista humalointia rakastavan panimon olut kaatuu lasiin kultaisen värisenä muodostaen valkoista vaahtoa. Tuoksussa on eksoottista hedelmäisyyttä, mausteita, makeahkoa maltaisuutta ja havuista humalointia. Maku on hyvin mausteinen, katkera, maltainen ja hedelmäinen. Maku viipyy suussa pitkään katkeroineen hyvin kiinnostavalla tavalla. Suutuntunmasta löytyy liukkautta mikä ainakin minulle sopii mukavasti. Hiilihappoja on sopivan lempeästi. Ei ihan Mikkellerin parhaimmistoa, mutta ei huku massaan.

Shared with Doug at the bayou. Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Notes of ginger dominate, spicy, pine, fruity, earthy dry finish that seems off. A solid holiday IPA. Really nice.

750 at the Bayou. Pours a clear golden hue with a large white head. A big floral nose with ginger, and earthy pine. The flavor is a delicate herbal, ginger and oranges, very bright. Nice!

Bottle. Golden, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, light tropical fruitiness and light spiciness (ginger), some piney hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel, light tropical fruitiness, some spiciness and some hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, some caramel, sharp spiciness and some hoppyness. Sweetish IPA with sharp spiciness in the finish - not very enjoyable.

I might be getting nervous about the cost vs benefit of Mikkeller beers in Canada. We get tons of choices and they are not all worth the cost. Hazy, little bit of cloud, big lasting head, dark amber. Hoppy nose, a bit of pine and only catch the ginger when looking. Ginger is much much stronger in flavour. Still very hoppy and now I have to think pine to find it on the palate. Enjoyable, fun, a nice twist on IPAs. Pine jumps in the finish.
