4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The pour is a clear golden color with a full, fluffy, creamy, off-white head which is mostly lasting and leaves scattered, drippy lace. The nose is pleasant with lots of pine resins, floral, herbal, light ginger, some pink grapefruit, and gooseberries. The flavor is very similar with lots of fruit (gooseberries, pink grapefruit), still quite resinous, piney, very faint ginger, and herbal underneath. The palate is lively, light to medium, and oily/sticky. The finish is mostly bitter, gooseberries, pine resins, and herbal. I actually liked this quite a bit; the intense fruit was pleasant for me, and the underlying herbal was a nice touch. The pine addition is an obvious complementary piece but the subtle ginger worked well in this, despite my skepticism. Just another great beer from Mikkeller.

Draft at Churchkey. Poured a golden blonde color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was nice light pine, with some ginger heat to it. Flavor was some pine hop character. Ginger. Nice.

Very nicely done. This comes together very well. Ginger is well tempered, just a bite. Pine is nice too. Blonde with good head and lacing. Bitter finish. Good stuff. Tap at Black Squirrel.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml bottle @ Fox and Hounds, Aabenraa. Almost clear golden body with a fine, creamy white head. Good and strong aroma of citric fruit, oranges, grapefruit, fresh spruces, flowers and some caramel. Flavor is sweet malt, moderate caramel, lots of citric fruit as found in aroma, a hint of ginger and good bitterness with a hint of spruces. Fine body and bitter, tasty aftertaste. Never imaged I would find an IPA that gave some Christmas spirit, but this actually gives me some of it. Christmas or not, a well-made tasty and slightly original IPA.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The aroma is full of flowers, citrus hops, ginger and pine needles, there is also details of cascade hops. The color is golden. A really nice color. The taste is bitter thanks to the amazing hops and pine needles. It feels very light on the tongue. The finish is long and bitter. A really nice beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Great IPA, with lots of taste. Ginger in the aroma more than in the taste. The pine is hardly noticeable. Medium carbonated, alcohol well hidden. Another fine examble of the brilliance of Mikkeller.
